CONSTITUTION:The fuel fed from an injection pump is fed to an injection nozzle through an injection pipe and is injected into a combustion chamber. When a fuel pressure is boosted, a force is exerted on the under surface of a piston 215 which is moved upward against a spring 216, and fuel admits through a gap between a center part 202d and the under surface of the piston 215 to rapidly push upward the piston. In this case, a rodform member 213 is rapidly pulled up against the elastic force of a coned disc spring 214, and thereby a compression force, applied on a piezo-electric element 206, is released, a voltage is induced resulting from deformation due to restoration, and discharge is produced in a spark gap G. Thus, an ignition coil and a distributor are eliminated.
