    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light, transparent, flexible deformation sensor which generates an electromotive force by deformation of an element and stably functions in the air at high response sensitivity.
      SOLUTION: The deformation sensor 1 is a flexible element comprising a nonaqueous high molecular electrolyte 10 including a high molecular component which is chosen from a polymer including a monomeric unit having a heteroatom or a block copolymer including a block of the polymer, and an ionic liquid, and at least a pair of electrodes 11 and 12. Light transmission of the flexible element is 70% or higher and the electromotive force is generated by deformation of the flexible element.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas absorbent having good gas-absorbing performance and causing no leaching of a polyvalent metal (A) contained in the gas absorbent in the liquid when used in a liquid. SOLUTION: The problem of the leaching is solved by providing a gas absorbent consisting of a metal complex (D) composed of a polyvalent metal (A), a polycarboxylic acid (B) of a molecular weight below 500 and a polymer (C) of a molecular weight of ≥500 having a carboxyl group. The gas absorbent most preferably consists of the metal complex composed of divalent copper, trimesic acid and polyacrylic acid.
