In an air passage communicatively connecting the dust chamber and the electric blower, the entrance side central axis of the air passage is arranged nearer the brush chamber side than the central axis parallel with the longitudinal direction of the suction opening of the dust chamber.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently suck dust in a brush chamber by providing an impeller rotated by the flow of sucked air at the end part of the shaft of a rotary brush and allowing in-flow air to flow out into the brush chamber by a large directional component in an axial direction to flow toward the center part of the brush chamber from the impeller. SOLUTION: When suction force generated by a motor driven blower reaches a suction port body at the time of using a vacuum cleaner, air is blown in the cleaner from a floor surface opening part, front inlets 308, 309 and rear side inlets 106 and 107. Among in-flow air of these, in-flow air from the inlet 107 ins blown in a space behind a nozzle part 305 through a rear side air flowing route 301 and the air from the inlets 308, 309 in blown in a space in front of a nozzle part 304 through a front side air flowing route 303. Then air in the spaces 305 and 304 is blown into an impeller 103 from its outer periphery by plural guiding impellers provided at the nozzle part and then blown into the brush chamber 307 to carry dust raked up by a rotary brush 104 so as to collect to a center part.
