摘要： PURPOSE:To form an optical recording medium having desirable characteristics without increasing its forming time and cost by opening a vessel for sealing a target material in an inert gas atmosphere, and conveying it into a vacuum film forming chamber without exposing it with oxygen and moisture. CONSTITUTION:A target material vacuum-sealed in a vessel in an argon substituted atmosphere is opened in a glove box in the argon atmosphere, conveyed in the gas of the argon atmosphere, cleaned in an atmosphere regulating cleaning tank 2, and returned to a glove box 1 of the argon atmosphere. A backing plate, a bonding agent, a target are stacked in the box 1, conveyed into an atmosphere regulating boding furnace 3 of the argon atmosphere, bonded, then returned to the box 1, and conveyed to a continuous film forming machine 4. The box 1 is connected after a film formation preparation chamber is filled with the argon atmosphere, and a target securing work is conducted in the argon atmosphere.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the optimum light beam power for recording even when the temp. of a recording medium is changed by providing a slit capable of changing its gap according to the temp. in an optical path from a light source for the light beam to the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The slit 5 is provided in an opening part of a cartridge 1 to be housed with an optical disk 4. This slit 5 is formed to be capable of changing its gap width according to the temp. Consequently, even when the temp. of the optical disk 4 is changed, the light beam from an objective lens 7 is adjusted properly in its light quantity at the time of passing through the gap of the slit 5. As a result, the optimum light beam power for recording can thus be obtained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enable mass production in a short period by providing a stage for forming an auxiliary film which has the ruggedness having the prescribed depth to function as guide grooves on the surface by coating a liquid auxiliary film material on the rugged surface of a substrate and stage for forming a recording film on the auxiliary film. CONSTITUTION:The substrate 1 having the ruggedness deeper than the prescribed depth on one face is formed and the liquid auxiliary film material is coated on the rugged surface of such substrate to form the auxiliary film which has the ruggedness having the prescribed depth to function as the guide grooves on the surface. The recording film is formed on the auxiliary film. The depth of the grooves is about 700Angstrom when the prescribed depth is lambda/8n, if a semiconductor laser of; for example, lambda=8,300Angstrom is used and glass, acryl, polycarbonate, epoxy, etc., of about n=1.5 are used for the substrate. The most desirable result is, therefore, obtd. if the depth of the ruggedness on the surface of the auxiliary is selected at said value. The surface of the recording film is flattened and the reproduction characteristic is decreased by forming the auxiliary film. The titled recording medium is thereby produced without requiring much time for the process with the simple equipment.
