    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an original sheet and a recording sheet from being erroneously inserted and to improve the setting property of each sheet by containing a space part between an original carrying path and a recording sheet carrying path which are almost in parallel one above another. SOLUTION: Each carrying path 3 and 16 of an original and recording paper is almost parallelly arranged, also an original insertion entrance 2 is arranged at a front side of a body and a recording paper insertion entrance 11 is arranged at an upper side of a rear part of the body. Also, an original ejection exit 9 is arranged at an upper side of the rear part of the body and a recording paper ejection exit 20 is arranged at the front of the body. Because the insertion entrances for an original sheet 1 and a bundle 10 of recording paper are separated in this way, the possibility of erroneous insertion of the document and the recording paper is eliminated and the setting property of the document and the recording paper becomes satisfactory. The inclinations of the paths 3 and 16 are made about 20 degrees to make straight advance carrying property of the document and the recording paper possible, also the carrying property of the recording paper is stabilized by utilizing gravity and the thickness of the entire device can be reduced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deflection of a cover by providing a plurality of ribs to a cover which act like a guide for a carrying path of an original and recording paper when the cover is set to an open position and which prevent a deflection when the cover is set closed and only when it is depressed so as to guide the original and the recording paper in a correct way to the carrying path. SOLUTION: A plurality of ribs 10c are provided to an original and recording paper platen 10 in common use for a cover of the equipment main body 11. The ribs 10c are configured to be a guide to guide an original 1 or recording paper 12 straightforward to an original carrying path or a recording paper carrying path when the original and recording paper platen 10 is turned in the direction of the arrow and set to an open position. Furthermore, the ribs 10c are configured to act like a stopper for preventing deflection when the ribs are butted to an upper face of the equipment main body 11 in the case that the original and recording paper platen 10 set to the closed position is depressed from its upward. Since the ribs 10c are placed at positions at which no interference is caused on the guidance of original, the cover is closed without caring about the original guide.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain high safety, miniaturization in the overall device, excellent productivity, and low cost by disposing an electric part below a waste ink absorptive body for retaining waste ink ejected from an ink jet recording head, and forming a part of the separation region of the ink absorptive body and electric part. SOLUTION: Recovery disposal of ink not adhered to recording paper 5 and not used in recording, i.e., of waste ink removed outward of the ejection port of an ink jet recording head 9 is done such that the recording head 9 is moved to the position of a suction pump provided outside of a carrying region of the recording paper 5 to be sucked by means of a pump and then absorbed in a waste ink absorptive body. Herein, the waste ink absorptive body is made by laminating a sheet-like absorptive body, and a separation part 17 and a control substrate 18 are arranged thereunder so that the separation part 17 has a function for shielding a space between the waste ink absorptive body and the control substrate 18, so as to isolate a case space for accommodating the waste ink absorptive body and a case space for accommodating electric parts such as the control substrate 18 from each other.
