    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive battery electrode substrate that exhibits excellent high-rate charge/discharge performance, and to provide a battery electrode substrate which exhibits low electrical resistance and avoids a decline in cycle characteristics caused by repetitive charging/discharging. SOLUTION: The collector is a metallic porous body, which has a structure in which a nickel film of an average coverage ratio 85% or higher is coated on a surface of a woven or unwoven resin fiber, and includes two or more layers of a low density region and a high density region having different densities of nickel amounts in a thickness direction wherein a thickness of the low density region is 1.5 times or more of that of the high density region. The battery electrode substrate is formed by filling a battery active material in the collector. The battery electrode substrate has a structure in which the nickel film is overlaid on the surface of the unwoven resin fiber, and uses the metallic porus body in which a transverse-to-longitudinal ratio of the electrical resistance is anisotropic.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolled aluminum alloy material having excellent machinability and capable of suppressing shortening of service life of cutting tools and also to provide its manufacturing method.
      SOLUTION: The rolled aluminum alloy material has a composition composed of, by mass, 2 to 7% Si, 0.1 to 8% Cu, 0.001 to 5% Mg, 0.001 to 0.5% Cr, 0.005 to 0.03% Ti, 0.001 to 0.006% B, 0.005 to 0.3%, in total, of at least one element selected from the group composed of Sr, Sb, Ca, Na and P, and the balance aluminum with inevitable impurities. Further, the size of Si-containing particles present in the inner part is ≤5 μm on average and ≤10 μm at maximum. Moreover, the crystal structure of the aluminum alloy is composed of one structure selected from the group consisting of a hot-rolled structure and a mixed structure of hot-rolled structure and recrystallized structure.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high purity aluminum wire having excellent surface properties, and to provide its production method.
      SOLUTION: The high purity aluminum wire has a composition comprising an alkaline-earth metal element(s) by 0.002 to 0.15 mass% in total and ≥99.7 mass% aluminum, and the balance inevitable impurities, and has an electric conductivity of ≥61% IACS. By the incorporation of the alkaline-earth metal element(s) by the prescribed amount, in the high purity aluminum, external shrinkage cavities upon casting, and the generation of a remelting phenomenon caused by external shrinkage cavities are reduced, and cracks and flaws upon rolling and wire drawing after the casting can be reduced. By utilizing the high purity aluminum, the high purity aluminum wire having excellent surface properties can be obtained. Further, by controlling the addition amount of the alkaline-earth metal element(s) to the prescribed range, the high purity aluminum wire can be utilized as the forming material for a lead terminal of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor without deteriorating its electric conductivity.
