    • PURPOSE:To keep constant the phase differece of the output of two output transducers over wide regions, by weighting the reed screen type electrodes constituting one output transducer among two sinusoidally. CONSTITUTION:The piezoelectric substrate 1 is provided with an input transducer 3 almost at the center and output transducers 2 and 4 by clipping them. The transducer 3 is formed with reed screen electrodes constituted as interdigital for the comblike electrodes of a pair. The transducer 2 is the reed screen type electrodes in which a pair of comblike electrodes interdigitally constitutes the electrode fingers and the width of overlap of the electrode fingers is equal. The transducer 4 is the electrodes in which a pair of comblike electrodes different from the length of adjacent electrode fingers are constituted so that the electrode fingers oppose each other and the envelope of overlap of the electrode fingers is sinusoidal interdigitally and weighting is given to the fingers.

    • PURPOSE:To improve propagation efficiency by providing plural parallel strip electrodes to the propagation path on a piezoelectric substrate and making the pitch thereof odd times of 1/4 the wavelength of the central frequency. CONSTITUTION:If the pitch of strip electrodes 11 is made lambda/4 with respect to the wavelength lambda of the central frequency and elastic surface wave 1 is made to respective reflected waves 2, 3 for the strip electrodes 111, 112, then the phase difference of both reflected waves is equal to the going and returning of the pitch spacing, it becomes lambda/2 and the waves are mutually negated. Hence, the relations between the respective strip electrodes and the waveforms of the elastic surface wave are indicated by the relative positions of the upper part of the respective strip electrodes if (+), (-) are let to be the maximum levels of the waveforms and (0) to be 0 level.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic surface wave device where a signal output level forms an almost equivalent phase-shifter and attenuation of an elastic surfaces wave is small, and to provide a radio communication equipment which mounts this phase-shifter.
      SOLUTION: An elastic surface wave device formed in a semiconductor substrate 30 is provided with a piezo-electric thin film 33 formed in the surface of the semiconductor substrate 30, an input IDT50, a first output IDT60, and a second output IDT70 consisting of comb teeth intersection electrodes formed in the surface of piezo-electric object thin film 33. The first output IDT60 outputs a first output signal of 0° of phase difference to an incoming signal. The second output IDT70 forms a phase-shifter 20 which outputs a second output signal of 90° of phase difference to the first output signal. The output voltage of the first output signal and the second output signal is made to approximate by adjusting respectively the length of comb teeth intersection electrodes and the distance of the input IDT50, the first output IDT60, or the second output IDT70. A radio communication equipment 300 is provided with this phase-shifter 20.
