    • PURPOSE:To demodulate FM signals with different frequencies in a simple circuit constitution which generates no interfering signals by using phase shifting circuit obtained with serially connecting two ceramic resonant elements. CONSTITUTION:Serially connected two ceramic resonators X1 and X2, a coil L serially connected to them, a capacitor C1 connected in parallel with them, etc., are provided a phase shifting circuit 2, a parallel resonating point by means of the resonator X1 and a capacitor C1 exists for frequencies f0, a serial resonating point by means of the C characteristic capacity of the resonators X1 and X2 and the capacitor C1 exists for frequencies f3, the parallel resonating point of the resonator X2 exists for frequencies f1, the C characteristic capacity of the resonators X1 and X2 and the capacitor C1 exist for frequencies f4, and the serial resonating point among the C characteristic capacity of the resonators X1 and X2, the capacitor C1 and the coil L exists for frequencies f2. Further the phase difference is generated around the central frequencies of desired FM signal, and the desired FM signal is demodulated through a multiplier 1 and an LPF 3.

    • PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for a tuning work during the process by using IDTs, designing a time delay between two IDTs to be an electrode interval of an interdigital transducer so as to keep a phase difference of 90 deg. accurately, thereby enhancing the S/N. CONSTITUTION: A surface acoustic wave delay line 31 is used for a time delay means, in which an input interdigital transducer IDT31 that converts an intermediate frequency signal into a surface acoustic wave, an output interdigital transducer IDT32 that converts the surface acoustic wave travelled from the input interdigital transducer IDT31 into an electric signal, and an output delay interdigital transducer IDT33 that is mounted to provide a delay time of about t0 from the signal through the output interdigital transducer IDT32 are vapor- depositted and configured on a piezoelectric substance 32. Then electrode arrangement of the interdigital transducers IDT31 -IDT33 is designed to provide a time delay at an interval coincident with width of the electrode to provide a phase difference of 90 deg. accurately. Thus, the element is made small, the S/N is improved and the manufacture process of an FM demodulator is reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the circuit by using an adhesive to stick two 3-terminal piezoelectric vibrating elements thereby making the pass band center of the amplitude characteristic coincident with a point of phase angle 90 deg. of the phase shift characteristic and using said piezoelectric resonator for the phase shift circuit of an FM demodulation circuit. CONSTITUTION:The piezoelectric resonator 1 is constituted by using an adhesives 3 so as to stick two 3-terminal piezoelectric vibrating elements 2, 3 formed symmetrically to the right/left. The elements 2, 2 are the piezoelectric vibration elements of the energy confinement type and thickness vibration mode in which split electrodes 5, 5 are formed to one side of the base 4 and a common electrode 6 is formed to the ground side. In the sticking above, the common electrodes 6 are overlapped and the split lead-out electrodes 7, 7' are directed upward for the one base 4 and directed downward at the other base 4. The electrodes 8 of the two bases are connected and led out and one set of electrodes in the opposite two-sets of split electrodes 7, 7' are connected so as to be crossed via the base and the split electrodes of the other set are led out to form IN, OUT, GND terminals respectively. Thus, in the resonator 1, the pass band center of the amplitude characteristic and the frequency at a point of phase angle 90 deg. of the phase shift characteristic are made coincident. The resonator 1 is used for the phase shift circuit of the qudrature type FM detection circuit, then a conventional RLC circuit is not required.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the handling property of a network by constituting a network with two-terminal resonators and resistances to make the adjustment of a differential detecting circuit unnecessary without using inductance elements in the network for FM detection. CONSTITUTION:A network 2 for FM detection is connected to a limiter circuit 1 to which an FM signal is inputted, and the FM signal from the circuit 1 is inputted between the input terminal 2a of the network 2 and an earth terminal 2b. Two series circuits consisting of two-terminal piezoelectric resonators X1 and X2 and resistances R1 and R2 are connected in parallel between terminals 2a and 2b of the network 2. The resonator X1 is connected to the input terminal 2a, and the earth terminal 2b is connected to the resonator X2. A differential peak value detector 3 is connected to connection points between resonators X1 and X2 and resistances R1 and R2 through output terminals 2c and 2d. Impedances of resonators X1 and X2 for the center wavelength of the FM signal are equalized to the values of resistances R1 and R2 to make the adjustment of the detector 3 unnecessary.
