摘要： PURPOSE: To prevent the deletion of information in the adjacent tracks of a peripheral edge magnetic field from a writing magnetic pole by including at least one piece of the magnetic poles and side magnetic shields arranged adjacently to these magnetic poles and arranging the side magnetic shields in order to shield the magnetic poles from the adjacent tracks on a magnetic medium. CONSTITUTION: A two-magnetic pole head 10 adaptable to both of longitudinal direction and perpendicular direction recording includes the first magnetic pole P1 and the second magnetic pole P2. The magnetic medium operates by passing the head 10 in the direction of an arrow 12 and the magnetic pole P2 is a downstream side magnetic pole. The downstream side magnetic pole P2 encloses the circumference of the magnetic pole P1 and constitutes the side magnetic shield. Namely, the magnetic pole provides shielding from the adjacent tracks in the direction parallel with the arrow 12. As a result, the problem of crosstalks in reading out and writing is eliminated.

摘要： PURPOSE: To make it possible to substantially shield a reading/writing head from adjacent tracks by including a magnetic side part shield arranged adjacently to a magnetic pole. CONSTITUTION: For example, a three-pole head 16 is a perpendicular head for reading/writing. The magnetic pole P2 is a reading magnetic pole which is conductive, i.e., is of a magnetic flux sensing type. The magnetic pole P1 is a writing magnetic pole and the magnetic pole P3 is a downstream magnetic pole and has the side part shiel part 18. If this head shape is provided with a soft magnetic lower layer and is used for perpendicular direction recording, the edge magnetic field in the perpendicular direction attenuates exponential- functionally together with a distance. The magnetic fluxes from adjacent tracks are blocked by using the side part shield 18 during reproduction, by which the pass of these magnetic fluxes through a sensor is prevented. As a result, the substantial shielding of the magnetic poles from the adjacent tracks on a magnetic medium is made possible.

CONSTITUTION:Magnetic cores 1 and 3 form a first magnetic gap G1, a coil 5 is wound around them, and a head chip H1 is formed. In the same way, a second magnetic gap G2 is formed by magnetic cores 2 and 4, the coil is wound around them, and a head chip H2 is formed. For a shielding part 11 to part a pair of the head chips H1 and H2, an adhesive to have the conductivity, for example, a silver paste is used. The shielding material 11 is made to reinforce the junction of the magnetic cores 1 and 3 and the magnetic cores 2 and 4 from a side. For such a reason, the magnetic gaps G1 and G2 can be firmly held, and the magnetic head with the high reliability can be obtained.

CONSTITUTION:The 1st head chip 32 consists of core halves 34a, 34b made of a metallic magnetic material such as 'Sendust(R)' and reinforced plates 35a, 35b made of a nonmagnetic material such as glass bonding and clipping the core halves 34a, 34b from both sides. The 2nd head chip 33 consists of a couple of core halve 39a, 39b, reinforced plates 40a, 40b and a winding 38 similarly as the 1st head chip 32. The 1st and 2nd head chips 32, 33 are incorporated by bonding the reinforced plates 35b, 40b via a shield member 42 by resin adhesives 43, 44. Thus, the crosstalk between the head chips is prevented and the deterioration in the running performance of a recording medium due to the deviation of the mount position of the head chip is prevented and deterioration in the picture quality and compatibility is prevented in case of the application to a high definition VTR and also in case of the normal reproduction.
