    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus in which a printing medium is prevented from being adhered to a fixed blade or a movable blade after cutting without impairing the sharpness of the edge of a cutting tool. SOLUTION: A tape printing apparatus comprises a cutter unit for cutting a printed roll sheet 3. The cutter unit comprises the fixed blade 8A and the movable blade 8B. A pair of resin spacing plates 110, 111 are fixed to the surface of the movable blade 8B on the opposite side of the rear surface thereof on which the fixed blade 8A is slid. Therefore, the cut end of the cut roll sheet 3A on the downstream side in the conveying direction can be slid on the surfaces of the spacing plates 110, 111. Hence, even when an adhesive remains at the cut end, the cut end of the roll sheet 3A can be forcibly released from the surface of the movable blade 8B.
