摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the reflection loss by a processed face in a reflective state of an optical switch or to decrease a transmission loss or cross talk in a transmissive state. SOLUTION: The optical switch is provided with a polymer film 2, a pressing plate 3 having a through hole for switching, and a driving means. The film 2 has cores 1a, 1b linearly running inside, and a notch groove 6 formed to intersect the switching position in the midway of the cores 1a, 1b. The film 2 is held by the press plate 3 to expose the switching position through the hole 31. The driving means aims to narrower or widen the gap of the notch groove 6 so as to select the optical path. The notch groove 6 is formed by first forming a start groove on the surface of the film 2 and pushing the switching position from the back side of the start groove by using a pressurizing member while the film 2 is held by the pressing plate 3 to produce cleavage. If the line 56 is broken, the optical connecors 54 and 55 are only disengaged and if the optical switch 70 is broken, the optical switch 70 is only disengaged from the optical connector 60 for replacement, so the replacement is extremely easy.
