    • PURPOSE:To achieve easy and high-precision centering by measuring the internal diameter position of one cylinder with a dial gauge set to the internal diameter of the other cylinder. CONSTITUTION:When the positioning pin 3 of the stand 4 of a centering device is brought into contact with the internal diameter of one of two cylinders 1 and 2 to be centered, e.g. cylinder 2, the radius-directional position of the centering device is determined unequivocally and a dial gauge 5 is set according to a scale which crresponds to the internal diameter position of the cylinder 1 at that time. Then the centering device is turned in the circumferential direction by 90 deg. and the scale on the dial gauge 5 is read. Thus, a shift in center poition is determined accurately by a difference from a scale value in setting, thereby achieving high-precision centering through simple operation.

    • PURPOSE:To make the improvement in the accuracy of continuous measurement of the wall thicknesses of tubular materials which are being conveyed by radiations or the like possible by grasping said materials between pairing conveying rolls thereby obviating the occurrence of their center run-out. CONSTITUTION:Tubular materials which are being conveyed are grasped between rolls under constant pressure, and these rolls are rotated abd driven so that the materials are conveyed without causing center run-out, then radiations are applied to the materials and the wall thicknesses of th tubes are measured by analyzing the intensities of the radiations transmitted therethrough. For example, a tubular material 1 is grasped between a pair of hourglass-shaped rolls 42 and 42a under constant pressure by the effect of a hydraulic cylinder 6, air cylinders 7, a cross member 12, etc., and if these rolls are driven by motors 10 and 10a, the above-mentioned tubular material is conveyed without causing center run-out. Hence, in the case of measuring its wall thickness by radiations or the like, the errors owing to center run- out which are usually observed are not produced, and the measurement results of high accuracy are obtained.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alignment adjusting apparatus for a probe capable of accurately aligning the angle of the probe and the angle of a hole and capable of preventing the damage of the probe, a measuring machine equipped therewith and an alignment adjusting method for the probe.
      SOLUTION: The alignment adjusting apparatus 10 for the probe is constituted so as to adjust the angle of the probe 22 for measuring the shape of a portion to be measured before measurement and equipped with an angle adjusting means 21 capable of adjusting the angle of the probe 22 along an axial line becoming a standard. By this constitution, the angle of the probe and the axial line becoming the standard are set to an always aligned state before measurement and, at the time of measurement, the angle of the probe and the angle of the hole can be aligned accurately. As a result, even if the alignment adjusting apparatus is inserted in a deep hole or the like, the probe does not interfere with the side surface thereof and the damage of the probe can be prevented.
