    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion device having a pulverized coal burner capable of realizing combustion of high efficiency and low NOx concentration, preventing attachment of ash and corrosion on a furnace wall face, and reducing unburned fuel loss due to unburned ash falling to a furnace hopper, in using a burner of high capacity, and having a flat fuel nozzle capable of realizing combustion of high efficiency and low NOx combustion by a single burner.SOLUTION: In a combustion device in which pulverized coal burners 31 respectively including a venturi 7 having a throttle portion, and a concentrator 6 in a fuel flow channel 2, and having a cross section which is circular by near the throttle portion and then gradually flattened in a lateral direction so that a degree of flatness becomes maximum at an opening portion 32 of a furnace wall face, are arranged in several stages and several rows on at least one face of a furnace wall surface 18, the inside of the furnace can be effectively utilized to perform the combustion of high efficiency and low NOx concentration, and attachment of ash and corrosion on a furnace side wall can be prevented, by properly positioning a width direction of a flat nozzles 8 of the burners 31 in a vertical and lateral directions.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable dense phase transport for fuel without any influence on a low Nox combustion characteristic in a fine particle fuel burner having a fuel transport tube and a primary air tube coaxially disposed in the fuel transport tube.
      SOLUTION: The opening discharge side of the primary air tube 9 is terminated at a distance from the opening of the fuel transport tube 7, a swirl blade 15 is provided in a suitable position, and the burner is connected to a supply line for transporting fine particle fuel in a dense phase state. The fuel is transported inside the burner in an annular fuel transport space 13 formed outside the primary air tube 9 in the radial direction, and mixed with a primary air stream discharged from the primary air tube 9 in a volute state, so that the primary air stream is condensed equally in the circumferential direction by fuel. Thus, low Nox combustion performance can be enhanced and optimized.
