    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage of equipment such as a heat transfer tube of an exhaust heat recovery boiler by properly limiting the amount of fuel supplied to combustion assisting devices of the exhaust heat recovery boiler according to an operating state of a gas turbine.SOLUTION: The exhaust heat recovery boiler includes the combustion assisting devices 50, 52 for heating exhaust gas upstream of one of heat exchangers, and a fuel supply system for supplying fuel to the combustion assisting devices. In order to avoid the damage of the heat transfer tube by high temperature exhaust gas, an index value for limiting the amount of fuel supplied to the combustion assisting devices 50, 52 is set, and the amount of fuel supplied to the combustion assisting devices 50, 52 is limited so as to not exceed the limit of the index value.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the power generation efficiency of a combined cycle and reduce the annual total fuel consumption when an electric power-generating and desalination combined plant performs partial load operation according to electricity demand or freshwater demand.SOLUTION: In the method of operating an electric power-generating and desalination combined plant, which includes a combined-cycle electric power-generating facility including a gas turbine 1, an exhaust gas boiler 9 having a duct combustor 31 and heating supply water by heat of an exhaust gas introduced from the gas turbine to generate steam, and a steam turbine 11 operated by use of the steam generated by the exhaust gas boiler as an operating fluid; and a desalination facility 14 connected thereto, the desalination facility 14 producing freshwater by use of exhaust steam of the steam turbine 11 as a heat source, the operation is performed so that the power generation amount and the freshwater amount are predetermined values respectively by adjusting an operation load ratio of the gas turbine 1 and combustion of the duct combustor 31. The gas turbine 1 is operated at an operation load ratio at which the flow rate of surplus steam 15 that is not used in the desalination facility 14 of the exhaust steam of the steam turbine 11 is in a range of zero to a predetermined allowable value.
