    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device of a vehicle that can control decrease of deceleration of a vehicle with execution of unnecessary restriction control, while achieving proper start timing of restriction control, and a brake control method of the vehicle.SOLUTION: A control device starts restriction control by a brake operation of a driver when a second deceleration degree Gx becomes a start determination value KG2 or more from a deceleration start point (second timing t22) when the deceleration of the vehicle starts to a third timing t23 when the start determination time has passed. Afterwards, the control device ends the restriction control, if the second deceleration degree Gx does not become an end determination value KG3 or more at a fourth timing t24 that has passed the end determination time from the second timing t22.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure smooth brake feeling even in case the automatic brake control is conducted by a friction brake, for example while engine braking works.
      SOLUTION: The arrangement includes a torque giving means TA to give driving torques to wheels WL, a torque suppressing means TR to suppress the torques generated in the wheels, a frictional braking means FB to give braking torques to the wheels in compliance with the stamping motion of the driver on a brake pedal BP, and an automatic brake control means AB to give the braking torques by actuating automatically the frictional braking means independently of the stamping of the brake pedal. When giving the braking torque by the frictional braking means is started after giving the braking torques by this automatic brake control means is started, control is made so that the suppressing torque is held at a prescribed level by a torque suppression control means CL.
