      SOLUTION: This steering system is furnished with axle housing 30 to support a hub H on which a wheel FL is mounted free to rotate, a lower arm 20 axially supported free to oscillate against a vehicle body by one end (supporting part 21) and to support the axle housing 30 free to revolve by a steering part 23 provided on the other end and a motor 50 set on the lower arm 20 and to revolve the axle housing 30 by its driving force, and a rotation axis of the motor 50 and a revolution axis (king pin axis) of the axle housing 30 are arranged by slipping them from each other.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft connection mechanism configured to reliably prevent displacement between a rotation axis of one rotating shaft and that of the other rotating shaft while improving durability without generating collision and friction noise, to prevent reduction in rotation transmission efficiency.SOLUTION: A shaft connection mechanism 1 includes: a connection base 3 connected to a rotating shaft 2; a connection base 5 connected to a rotating shaft 4; a pair of rotation transmitting members 6, 7 arranged between both connection bases 3, 5 for transmitting rotation in R-direction of the rotating shaft 2 to the rotating shaft 4 via both connection bases 3, 5; an intermediate member 8 arranged between the pair of rotation transmitting members 6, 7; and a joint means 9 for joining the pair of rotation transmitting members 6, 7 to each other.
