    • PURPOSE:To adjust easily and continuously a gap by meshing a worm supported on the other side face of a carriage with a worm wheel, attaching a handle to the worm shaft and rotating the same. CONSTITUTION:The adjustment of the gap between a mandrel and an apron guide is accomplished by rotating an eccentric shaft 27, via a worm 42 and a worm wheel 40, by rotating a handle 43, and changing the fulcrum of the clevis 8b of a cylinder supported on an eccentric shaft part 27d. The gap between the mandrel and the spron guide is thus adjusted simply by rotating the handle without removing bolts and loosening nuts.
