摘要： PURPOSE:To effectively cancel an echo signal by assuming the reverberation time of an echo path with an initial training signal and variably setting a tap length in order to generate a pseudo echo signal in accordance with the reververating time. CONSTITUTION:A learning circuit 4 inputs the initial training signal outputted from a training circuit 3 and assumes the echo path characteristics of the echo path formed by an acoustical coupling between a speaker 1 and a microphone 2 in the form of an impulse response. A coefficient multiplier 6 multiplies each tap output of a tap delay line 5 by a tap coefficient, which constitutes the echo characteristics assumed at the learning circuit 4, and executes tap- coefficient-processing. An adder 7 adds each tap-coefficient-processed tap output and generates the pseudo echo signal. The pseudo echo signal is given to a subtracter 8 and the cancellation of the echo signal contained in an input sound signal is executed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To cancel an echo signal effectively by using a voice switch, to change over an on-microphone with respect to plural microphones and giving a tap coefficient in response to a change in echo path characteristics between a speaker and the plural microphones to an adaptive filter. CONSTITUTION:A microphone switching unit 11 sets a gain to an OFF microphone and the number of ON-microphones and gives its output signal to a subtracter 6 and its component y(k) is cancelled by a pseudo echo signal y(k) from the adaptive filter 5. The filter 5 estimates the echo path characteristics between the speaker 1 and plural microphones, forms characteristics close thereto and generates the signal y(k) from a reception signal x(k) according to the characteristics. A tap coefficient selection circuit 13 always monitors a signal S and if a change exists in the signal S from the unit 11, the circuit 13 revises the tap coefficient of the filter 5 in response to the change. The change is implemented by using tap coefficient memories 14a, 14b,-14N.

Therefore, in the case of the addition, if the plural terminals are under a communication, the bits of time information of the plural terminals are considered. Thus, the concurrency of the audible sounds inputted from the different terminals is insured and the ambience at the time of the reproduction of the audible sound is elevated.

CONSTITUTION:Sound data from a sound input device 400 is used as required as 64kbps-8kbps by the u-LAWPCM, ADPCM or APCAB. When a still picture input is given, still picture information is generated. An operation input section 900b gives switching command to a cooding means in the device 400 from the ADPCM into the APCAB. Since the sound information quantity is reduced from 32kbps into 16kbps, the transmission of still picture information is attained. When the transmission of still picture information is finished, the coding means is restored to the ADPCM.
