      SOLUTION: When subjecting a metallic sheet to U-shape bending by a press-forming method using a die and a punch, a pad 3 having a protruded part 4 is arranged between a die 1 and a die 1'. Bending in an opposite direction to the U-shape bending is applied to a steel sheet S by using a punch 5 having a recessed part 6 in its front end face. Thereby, the warps generated by bending in both directions are mutually offset, so that a saddle-warp appearing on a product is reduced.
