    • PURPOSE: To change the shearing width of metal bands by turning a nut fitted movably parallelly to the axis along the key groove in the outside surface of the outer shaft and allowing the circular cutting edge to shift parallelly to the axis.
      CONSTITUTION: A pair of circular cutting edges 1a, 1b and 2a, 2b, the right and left, are fitted on the upper and lower shafts 1 and 2, respectively, where the edges 1a and 2a shall shear one side of a metal band longwise and the edges 1b and 2b shall the other side to yield a strip of material with a specified width L. When the edges are to be moved, the edge shift nut 9 is rotated around the shaft 1 for movement in parallel with the shaft, that will shift the cutting edge 1a in engagement with a hook-shaped projection parallelly to the axis in the same direction as the nut 9 guided by a guide groove, so that the space between the cutting edges 1a and 1b can be adjusted into any intended dimension easily and accurately.

    • PURPOSE:To easily and efficiently execute the knock-out. CONSTITUTION:A square pipe stock 1a is deep-drawn with a truncated square conical male die 8 and a female die corresponding to this male die to manufacture a tapered square pipe 1. One pair of stoppers 9 faced to the upper part of the male die 8 are arranged so as to be slidably in the horizontal direction. The stopper 9 is energized to the outer part of the male die 8 with a spring 13 and projecting from the outer peripheral surface of the male die 8 in the ordinary condition. When the female die descended at the time of squeezing, the inclined inner surface of the female die is brought into contact with the tip of each stopper 9, and each stopper 9 is shifted to the center direction of the male die 8 by the component of force in the horizontal direction. At the time of executing the squeezing formation, as ordinarily the tapered square pipe 1 is press-stuck to the inner surface of the female die, at the time of using the female die, the tapered square pipe 1 ascend together with the female die, but the ascending is stopped by hitting to the stopper 9, and the tapered square pipe is separated from the inner surface of the female die. In such a way, the knock-out is automatically executed in the press movement without needing a special process for knock-out.

    • PURPOSE:To produce efficiently the tapered groove section having the lip and flange of high dimensional accuracy by using the upper die divided into three blocks and the lower die divided into four blocks. CONSTITUTION:Upper die 10 is descended with setting between upper die 10 and lower die 11 the metal cut stock having the prescribed taper in the longitudinal direction of the right and left both side edges and the plate stock is pressed into the recessed part for forming of the right and left side of the lower die 11 by the right and left side dies thereof. The right and left side parts of the plate stock is made to the prescribed tapered angle with the longitudinal direction and the bend formation is performed upward at the prescribed angle. The upper die 10 is then ascended together with a press head 14 and the side dies of the right and left are moved to the outer side. The upper die 10 is descended again and the plate stock is pressed into the recessed part of the two blocks of the center die 20 of the lower die 11 by a center die ' 12 and the right and left both sides of the center part of the plate stock are made to the prescribed tapered angle with the longitudinal direction. With the bend formation at the prescribed angle upward the tapered groove form stock having the lip 30 of about pentagonal section is obtd.
