摘要： PURPOSE:To apply a uniformly colored pattern to a metallic surface in a short period by adopting primary pickling by hydrofluoric acid and secondary pickling by a nitrohydrofluoric acidhydrogen peroxide soln. mixture for pickling in combinations of laser irradiation, pickling and anodic oxidation. CONSTITUTION:The pickling stage is dividedly executed in two stages in the formation of the pattern by the laser irradiation and the formation of the colored pattern combining the pickling and anodic oxidation to the metallic surface. The primary pickling stage is executed under the conditions of 0.3 =25sec pickling time. The secondary pickling stage is executed under the conditions of 0.3 =10sec pickling time. The concn. is in weight %. The laser irradiation stage preferably satisfies the conditions of the equation I and the equation II. In the equations I, II, I is a power density (W/cm ) and E is energy density (Wsec/cm ).

Further, the abrasion quantity nof the flank can be reduced furthermore by the coating by hard material. Distortion εca is computed from ε=h(H, d) on the basis of the actual hardness Ha and crystal grain diameter da to estimate the cumulative distortion of the metal member as the distortion εca. Here, σmeans stress obtained by dividing a tensile force by a cross section reduced in a tensile test i.e., correction stress, and ε means a nominal distortion.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the extrudability of an Al-Mg-Si based Al alloy by provid ing an Al-Mg-Si based Al alloy in which a crystallized substance consisting of Al-Fe-Si compound is α-phase and a precipitate consisting of Mg2 Si and a precipitate consisting of Si oxide are not present practically. SOLUTION: In an as-crystallized state at the time of casting and solidification, β-AlFeSi is formed. Because β-phase is a brittle compound, picking-up is caused at the time of extrusion and seizure resistance is deteriorated. By performing soaking treatment at prescribed temp. for prescribed time, the β-phase is transformed into α-phase. Because an Mg2 Si precipitate is a brittle compound and causes picking-up at the time of extrusion, hardening is applied from the prescribed temp. to reduce it. As a precipitate consisting of Si oxide causes picking-up and it is produced when soaked at high temp. and then cooled slowly, hardening is done, e.g., by water cooling to make it disappear. By this method, the occurrence of picking-up at the time of extrusion can be prevented.

It is desirable as the composition of the amorphous alloy to use a Fe group amorphous alloy containing 16-24 at% of P and C by the total amt. from the view point of preparing easily the amorphous alloy and the abrasion resistance.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make a quench-hardening layer formable in a cutting edge part, by melting and quench-hardening the cutting edge part by irradiation of a high- energy density beam after hardening a cutting tool blank at temperature lower than a melting point, and tempering it in addition. CONSTITUTION:After a cutting tool blank is hardened at temperature lower than 130 deg.C in a melting point, a cutting edge part or a cutting tool edge forming scheduled part is melted and quench-hardened by irradiation of a high-energy density beam. And, tempering is carried out in addition whereby a high-speed steel cutting tool having a quench-hardening layer in the cutting tool edge part. That is to say, hardening temperature before the irradiation of the high- energy density beam is adjusted whereby plastic deformability in a base material is altered, and thereby any crack at the time of the irradiation of the high- energy density beam is preventable from occurring. Simultaneously with this, finishing surface roughness of a cutting tool, and performance for abrasive resistance and tenacity or the like are improvable.
