    • PURPOSE:To provide a pipe junction structure sufficient bearing force of which can be obtained at the junction in a simple structure, and it is excellent in view of the workability and cost. CONSTITUTION:When steel pipes 1 serving as structural members are jointed together out of mutual, steel pipes 1 of different diameter, or out of the steel pipe 1 and a short connection pipe 2 of different diameter from that of the steel pipe 1, one side end part is inserted into the other end part, and concrete is filled between them so as to combine together them into one body. On the opposed faces of an overlapped part, integratedly formed projections, stud dowels, or the like are provided so as to increase the bonding force filled concrete, and hence stress can be transmitted in the axial direction of the steel pipe 1. Inside the steel pipe 1 serving as a pipe to be joined, concrete can be filled extending over the full length if necessary. By joining many steel pipes together through filling of concrete, a pipe structure is simply built without using welding or bolt connection.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast-in-place steel pipe concrete pile and its construction method forming a final mutual joint part of steel pipes as a joint part equivalent to full strength joining with no risk of loosening the surrounding ground with a small amount of projection to the outside of a steel pipe in pile construction.
      SOLUTION: In the cast-in-place steel pipe concrete pile 1 and its construction method, a plurality of joining splice plates 11 circumferentially divided over the inside of upper and lower steel pipes 2 are arranged at the mutual joint part of the steel pipes in a cast-in-place pile with its lower part formed in reinforced concrete structure and with its upper part formed in steel pipe concrete structure covered with a plurality of steel pipes arranged in series. The steel pipes 2 are fastened and joined to the respective splice plates 11 by high strength bolts 14 penetrating bolt holes provided beforehand in the steel pipes 2. The upper part of a long-sized reinforcing cage 4 is disposed inside the lower part of the steel pipe, and a short-sized reinforcing cage 5 is disposed embedded over a predetermined length in a vertical direction inside the joint part of the upper and lower steel pipes 2 to reinforce the steel pipe joint part to have predetermined yield strength.
