CONSTITUTION:A track width R is taken as a sound part 22b and a control part 22c and a control track width C is taken as the sound part 21b and the control part 21c. The sound parts 21b and 22b record signals on sound tracks 1b and 2b respectively and the control parts 21c and 22c record the signals on control tracks 1c and 2c respectively. The control signals on the control tracks are made to synchronize with the signals recorded on tracks 1a and 2a. The track width R is divided in two to a sound track erasing part 12b and a control track erasing part 12c, and the control track width C is taken as a sound track erasing part 11b and a control track erasing part 11c, then a video track width B is taken as video track erasing parts 11a and 12a. The erasing parts 11a and 12a erase the tracks 1a and 2a, so that the simultaneous recording and simultaneous reproducing of two channels is executed and a divided area is independently erased, recorded and reproduced.

    • PURPOSE:To allow the adjustment of an azimuth angle with high accuracy by providing makders which are positioned on a straight line in parallel with magnetic gaps when viewed flatly and are positioned on both sides in the transverse direction of the head on a sliding surface side by a photolithographic technique. CONSTITUTION:The markers 4A, 4B are formed by the photolithographic technique in the process for producing the thin-film magnetic head. the markers 4A, 4B are so formed as to be positioned on the straight line in parallel with the magnetic gaps 3A, 3B and on both sides in the transverse direction of the head. The distance necessary for calculating (adjusting) the azimuth angle is, therefore, easily measured and the assembly of the head with the markers 4A, 4B as references is possible. Since the distance between the two markers 4A and 4B can be taken relatively large, the measurement accuracy is improved. The azimuth angle of the high accuracy is obtd. in this way and the yield of the production and assembly is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To improve prouctivity and to allow sure and easy connection to the outside by joining a nonmagnetic substrate formed with a magnetic core, coil, insulating, bonding pads, etc., on one surface thereof and a supporting substrate formed with leader wirings in such a manner that the bonding pad and the one end of the leading wire are flush with each other on the same plane. CONSTITUTION:The nonmagnetic substrate 1 which is laminated with the magnetic core 2, coil 3 and insulating material formed as thin films and is formed with the bonding pads 4 connected to the ends of the coil on one surface thereof and the supporting substrate 5 consisting of a poor conductor material formed with the leader wirings 8 consisting of a conductive electrode material are joined to each other. The bonding pads 4 on the substrate 1 and the one end of the leader wirings 8 of the supporting substrate 5 are connected on the same plane and the other end of the leader wirings 8 is positioned onto the side face of the supporting substrate 5 approximately orthogonal with the connecting plane with the bonding pads 4. The productivity is improved in this way and the sure and easy connecting operation at the time of the assembly to a head base is carried out. The product having the high reliability of connection is thus obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To attain high efficient recording and reproducing and the correct tracking control by providing first and second multitrack magnetic heads composed of plural unit thin film heads onto a substrate, and making different the track pitch of both. CONSTITUTION:On a non-magnetic substrate 1, a magnetic resistance effect type multihead 2 for tracking control formed by the thin film technology and a multihead 3 for recording and reproducing main information assembled to a high accuracy with the thin film technology are provided in parallel. Since the track pitch of the head 2 has the pitch different from the recording and reproducing track pitch of the main information, by relatively comparing the reproducing output level from respective channels of the head 2, the tracking dislocation can be detected and corrected. At the time of recording the head 3, the signal reproduced simultaneously by the head 2 is stored as a peak pattern signal, this is tracking-controlled as a referring signal at the time of reproducing the main information, and thus, the tracking characteristic at the time of recording can be correctly traced and the very strict tracking control can be executed.

    • PURPOSE:To attain a measurement in which a signal envelope is uniform and good by stretching a magnetic tape directly for the inner circumference surface of a rotary drum by the centrifugal force of the tape. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape 14 makes almost one round along an inner circumference surface 11 of a rotary drum 11, one end 14a of the magnetic tape 14 is fixed by a tape fixing part 22 through a slit 21 provided for the rotary drum 11 and the other end 14b is made free. As the drum rotates, the centrifugal force acts on the respective parts of the magnetic tape 14 and it is pressed on the inner circumference surface 11a of the rotary drum 11, the flow of air generated by the rotation also acts and the magnetic tape is stretched round the drum uniformly in an instant. A magnetic head 15 is connected to the magnetic tape 14, after that, records and reproduces in a position projecting by 10-20mum to the side of the circumference surface. Thus, the uniform envelope is obtained and the highly accurate measurement is not spoiled.

    • PURPOSE:To attain small size, light weight and thin profile and to reduce the cost by devising the cylinder such that the upper cylinder is fixed and the lower cylinder is made turnable. CONSTITUTION:When a drive current is supplied to a motor 6, a torque is caused to the rotor, the lower cylinder 1 is driven and the head 4 is also driven. A magnetic tape is press contact over a range of a prescribed angle of the outer circumferential face of the lower cylinder 1 and the upper cylinder 2, runs with a tilt by a prescribed angle onto a drive face of the lower cylinder 1 and a recording track 12 is formed obliquely to the lengthwise direction on the magnetic tape 11. The upper cylinder 2 fixed has only to have a function of regulating the running of the magnetic tape. The part projected in the tape running regulation lead plate 3 acts like a tape guide for the magnetic tape in press contact onto the rotary cylinder. Thus, small sized, thin profile and light weight is attained for a VTR, the head adjustment and replacement are simplified and the manufacture cost is reduced.
