    • PURPOSE:To make it easy to use the time piece by changing over a hand for additional function to normal time display in a time modification state to make it possible to modify and making it possible to change over to the normal time display for the hand of the additional function display to make it impossible to modify in a normal portable use state. CONSTITUTION:At the time of modification of a normal time display a function display is automatically changed over to normal time display and a hand of the function display up to seconds indicating normal time display for stopping arbitrary seconds is shown. Accordingly function operation can be performed on the second of the normal time display and the discrimination of the morning and the afternoon of the normal time display of 12 hours indication is made possible by performing the 24 hours indication in the function display. In addition, the changing-over time of calendar function display is possible to set so as to become twelve o'clock midnight of the normal time display and at the time of the normal portable the time of the normal time display and a function display can be simply identified without stoppage of the timepiece. Thereby the operation is easy to understand and the timepiece can be carried without anxiety.

    • PURPOSE:To display the date as well together with the time of an assigned area by stepping either forward or backward a date indicating hand by the area indicating hand which indicates the plural areas of varying differences in time, the local district time indicating hand and the count value of a driving signal. CONSTITUTION:The ordinary time correction of the hour hand 3 and the minute hand 4 and the initialization correction of the area indicating hand 5 and the dual hand 7 are executed by rotating a winding crown 21 in a two-step pulled state. The hands 5, 6, 7 are subjected to the world time correction to set the date of an arbitrary area and the dual clock in the one-step pulled state. An operation to select the areas and a normal-summer time switching operation are executed in the zero-step state. The change of the date takes place as follows: The date is advanced one day by the natural lapse of time or by a manual operation when the hand 7 exceeds 24 o'clock in forward rotation. The date is delayed one day when the hand 7 exceeds a 24 o'clock scale in backward rotation. The date is then advanced one day when the hand 5 exceeds the date line westward. The date is delayed one day when the hand exceeds the date line eastward. The above-mentioned changes are executed by a date switching and detecting circuit.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate positional deviation in positioning holes and bosses of switching members by placing a number of step detecting section at a position avoiding both ends of a transmitting antenna while the transmitting antenna and a number of step counting arm are made almost parallel in the longitudinal directions thereof to operate the number of step counting arm smoothly. SOLUTION: A number of step detecting section 4 is placed at a position overlapping a circuit board 15 in plane while a battery 16 for a power source is arranged at the end part of the circuit board 15. Moreover, a number of step counting arm 5 of the number of step detecting section 4 and a transmitting antenna 17 are arranged almost parallel in the longitudinal directions while the number of step detecting section 4 is arranged at a position avoiding both ends of the transmitting antenna 17. A transmitter 1 is mounted horizontally on a human body in the longitudinal direction through a chest belt in such a manner that a number of step counting weight 6 at the tip of the number of step counting arm 5 vertically vibrates in response to vertical movement of the human body as a user walks or runs. The number of step counting weight 6 is kept in contact with a pedometer switch 12 thereby sending a number of step detection signal to an IC mounted on the circuit board 15.

    • PURPOSE:To produce ornamental goods having Ti surfaces and partial films which are free from discoloration by successively forming an Au layer, org. mask layer and color film on the surface of the Ti ornamental goods by using a PVD method, then stripping the org. mask layer and Au layer therefrom. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a case 4 for a timepiece consisting of Ti or Ti alloy is subjected to electrolytic degreasing and physical cleaning by ion bombardment and thereafter the Au layer 3 is formed to about 1,000Angstrom thickness over the entire surface by vacuum deposition. The org. mask layer 2 is then coated on the Au layer 3 in the part where the best use of the base of the above-mentioned case 3 is desired to be made. The mask layer is dried for about one hour at about 150 deg.C. The surface is further subjected to the above- mentioned pretreatments including the electrolytic treatment, a black ion plating film 1 essentialy consisting of Ti, C and N is formed by ion plating over the entire surface. The org. mask layer 2 and the Au layer 3 thereunder are thereafter stripped off successively by a formic acid releasing agent and cyanide releasing agent.
