    • PURPOSE:To optimize the degree of desulfurization by continuously providing both a cooling tower and an absorption tower and providing a pH controlling means to the absorption tower and also providing the pH controlling means of absorbent slurry to the cooling tower. CONSTITUTION:Waste gas 21 is heat-exchanged with the desulfurized outlet waste gas in a heat exchanger 18 and sent into a cooling tower 4. Waste gas is poured with shower of absorbent slurry in the cooling tower 4 and cooled. The waste gas is passed through a sump chamber 13 and introduced into an absorption tower 14 and SOX contained in waste gas 21 is absorbed and removed. The absorbent slurry is supplied into a circulation tank 23 of the absorption tower from a lime stone slurry tank 8. Then this absorbent slurry is supplied into the absorption tower, atomized and introduced into a circulation tank 12 of the cooling tower. Thereafter the absorbent slurry is sprayed in the cooling tower 4 and one part of SOX is desulfurized. pH meters 3, 11 are provided to the circulation lines of the absorbent slurry of the cooling tower 4 and the absorption tower 14 and pH control is performed. Thereby desulfurization efficiency is enhanced.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for fuel and a combustion gas producing device to be used exclusively for obtaining heating and desorbing gas by providing a supply line for boiler waste gas to a desorption column and using the boiler waste gas for the heating and desorbing gas. CONSTITUTION:Supply lines 17-19 for boiler waste gas are provided dividedly to a reheating section, superheating section and fuel economizer of a boiler 1 and are joined to a line 20 which is connected through a dust collector 14 to a heating section 21 of a desorption column 13. The temp. of the gas at the inlet of the desorption column 13 is detected with a gas temp. detector 23 and is inputted to a damper opening setter which controls the opening of dampers 17A- 19A to introduce the temp.-controlled boiler waste gas into a heating section 21 of the desorption column to desorb the SOx adsorbed on an adsorbent in the stage of heating the adsorbent in the desorption column. The gas discharged from the section 21 is supplied together with the boiler waste gas through an electrical dust precipitator 2 to an adsorption column 4 where the gas is desulfurized.
