    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carburetor foolproof fuel adjustment and limiter assembly. SOLUTION: A valve in the limiter assembly has a rotatable longitudinal shaft, and a head laterally surrounded by a carburetor. A first collar can advance and retreat covering the head. The first collar has a first stop member and a second stop member circumferentially spaced from the first stop member. In the locking position of the first collar, the first collar is engaged with the head and rotated together within a limited rotating range with respect to the carburetor. A pin is held to the carburetor and disposed between the circumferential directions of the first and second stop members. When the first collar is in the locking position and the valve is rotated for minimum fuel flow, the pin is engaged with the first stop member, and when the valve is rotated for maximum fuel flow, the pin is engaged with the second stop member. Each receiving hole communicates to the fuel flow passage. A pair of needle valve elements are stored into receiving hole respectively and each needle valve element includes a tip, an external thread part, a head part and an intermediate part arranged between the external thread part and the head part. The external thread part has main diameter threadedly engaging with the internal thread part of the receiving hole. The retainer includes a pair of openings and diameter of each opening is dimension for friction fitting with each intermediate part to prohibit movement of the tip in relation to the needle orifice and to retain the needle valve element at a predetermined position.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start an engine securely and eliminate engine stalling on overly rich mixtures of fuel-and-air.
      SOLUTION: A pull-starter for the internal combustion engine has a remote-start supporting mechanism operating automatically when pulling a pull-cord 24 of a recoil starter assembly. A releasable coupling 48 of the assembly is temporarily engaged with a recoil pulley of the recoil starter assembly around which the cord is wound. When starting to pull the cord 24, a link constituted and arranged to move a reciprocating piece of the coupling together with the pulley 26 and operate the start supporting mechanism is pulled. When releasing the cord, the reciprocating piece and the recoil starter assembly return to basic positions automatically. Preferably, the releasable coupling has a roller 74, which is engaged with the reciprocating piece rotatably and is arranged on an outer side in the radial direction from the pulley. The cord is wound for several times to surround the pulley and the roller, is wound only around the pulley as remaining winding, and is pulled out of a housing of the recoil starter assembly.

A fuel passage and an air passage communicate with the fuel/air mixing chamber. A purge device communicates with the valve drive chamber, and can be operated to move the valve to the opened position in order to open the fuel/air passage toward the fuel/air mixing chamber. As a result, the fuel/air mixture flows from the fuel/air mixing chamber into the fuel/air mixing passage located on the downstream side of the throttle valve.

      SOLUTION: The by-pass pressure regulator of liquid fuel has a body, a valve chamber formed by the body, a valve seat, and an inside continuous peripheral surface. The inside continuous peripheral surface partially forms the valve chamber, and is arranged on a downstream side in the axial direction of the valve seat, and the radius of the inside continuous peripheral surface increases with the distance toward the downstream side in the axial direction of the valve seat. The widened valve head of the pressure regulator is at least partially arranged in the valve chamber, and can move in the axial direction within the range from the closed position engaged with the valve seat to the closed position separated from the valve seat. The valve head has an outer peripheral edge. When the valve head is positioned at the closed position, the outer peripheral edge is positioned in the neighborhood of the inside continuous peripheral surface of the valve chamber. The inside continuous peripheral surface is provided with a cylindrical portion and an enlarged portion arranged on the downstream side of the cylindrical portion.       SOLUTION: A recoil starter for an internal combustion engine has a housing with a pulley carried at least in part for rotation therein. The pulley is arranged in operable communication with a crankshaft of the engine. A pull cord is wound about the pulley with one end of the cord being arranged to be pulled by a user to rotate the pulley. An actuator is carried for rotation in response to rotation of the pulley. A pump is arranged for actuation in response to rotation of the actuator to provide fresh liquid fuel to a carburetor and remove fuel vapor and stale fuel from the carburetor and deliver it to a fuel tank prior to starting the engine.
