    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep high the tillering strength of seedlings, to provide satisfactory rooting ability and to secure workability by rearing the transplanted seedlings for nonplowing transplanting cultivation, suppressing the growth of seedlings and stopping the senescence of seedlings by performing low temperature control in the respective processes of seed soaking, hastening of germination and germination. SOLUTION: The transplanted seedlings for nonplowing transplanting cultivation are reared under low temperature control while setting the seed soaking at the temperature lower than 10 deg.C longer than 20 days and setting the hastening of germination and the germination within the range from 20 deg.C to 25 deg.C. In this case, it is preferably to leave a seedling box in water after germination, further, to perform the low temperature control and to set the depth of irrigation higher than the seedling box for 1cm and besides, it is preferable to shallowly irrigate a well-drained paddy field having the hardness of plow layer surface of soil higher than 0.08kg/cm in the state of watering without performing plowing.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable efficient mass culture of the carrot adventive embryos by culturing carrot adventive embryos while controlling the oxygen supply rate, ventilation rate and value of physical stress applied to the adventive embryos so as to meet specified culture conditions respectively. SOLUTION: (1) An oxygen transfer volume coefficient (KLa ) that is a quantitative indicator of the oxygen supply rate and shows the oxygen transfer rate from a gas phase to a liquid phase and is defined by the formula I (wherein: dC/di is the oxygen transfer rate (mgO2 /L.hr); C is the dissolved oxygen concn.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice transplanter for continuous paddy rice seedlings hardly having lost strains and damaged strains, used for transplanting lightweight and continued hydroponic continuous paddy rice seedlings. SOLUTION: A fabric or film 19 is rolled together with a continuous paddy rice seedling 16 and fitted to a rice transplanter by a specific rack 2 as a roll 26 for reinforcing and rolling continuous paddy rice. The fabric or the film 19 is rolled by a roll 21 for rolling the fabric or the film and the continuous paddy rice seedling 16 on the roll is fed out to the lower end of a seedling carrying platform without applying tension. A balancing load wire 4, etc., is provided in a specific rack pulling up handle 9 in order to pull the handle 9 to reduce weighting of hydraulic continuous paddy rice seedling reinforcing and rolling roll 26 to the seedling carrying platform. A seedling pressing gear 15 on a seedling feed belt 10 and seedling pressing top gear 18 at the top are provided in the lower part of the seedling carrying platform. Transfer of the continuous paddy rice seedling 16 to the direction other than feeding out direction is suppressed and scraped with a planting pawl 14 while preventing deviation and transplanted by the gear.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter for seedling roots, capable of mechanizing an operation for placing seedlings on a scooping plate besides root cutting. SOLUTION: This cutter for seedling roots is equipped with a lifting apparatus for raising one end of a mat seedling in a seedling raising box and rolling up the seedling and a cutting apparatus for pushing cutting blades 6 into between the mat seedling whose end is rolled up and the seedling raising box. The cutting apparatus is furnished with a driving mechanism for making the cutting blades 6 move for pushing and move for drawing back by the normal and reverse rotation of a drum 12 having wound the flexible cutting blades 6. The cutting blades 6 are moved for pushing in a state of shouldering a seedling scooping plate H to constitute a seedling placing apparatus C for loading the mat seedling on the seedling scooping plate H when the root cutting is finished.
