摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting oil agent at a low cost, which is obtained from mineral oil and which has various viscosity, lubricating property, cooling performance, flushing property and antibacterial performance, and which prevents environmental pollution.SOLUTION: The cutting oil agent is obtained by radiating an ultrasonic wave having a radiation frequency of 20 to 50 KHz and a radiation intensity of 1.0 to 5.0 W/cmto mineral oil having a required viscosity, so that the paraffin chains are cut by a high temperature and high pressure reaction field and flow speed of liquid caused by collapse of cavities and that the molecular weight and viscosity are reduced, then radiating an ultrasonic wave having a radiation frequency of 100 to 300 KHz and a radiation intensity of 20 to 120 W/cmto the resulting mineral oil, so that performances are stabilized by the formation of fine and dense air bubbles or droplets, and further, radiating an ultrasonic wave having a radiation frequency of 500 to 2,000 KHz and a radiation intensity of 20 to 120 W/cmto the resulting mineral oil, so that additional functions are imparted to the mineral oil.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease composition containing polymers capable of imparting decreased water wash-off, prolonged longevity and increased water repellence.SOLUTION: A grease composition contains: (a) an esterified polymer derived from monomers comprising (i) a vinyl aromatic monomer, (ii) an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride or derivatives therof; (b) a thickening agent; and (c) an oil of lubricating viscosity, wherein the esterified polymer contains titratable acid groups with a total acid number of at least about 4. The invention further relates to the process to make the composition and its use in grease to increase water resistance.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost, low-complexity process for producing a plurality of lubricant base oils with acceptable pour points, viscosity indices, and yields from a broad boiling range feedstock.SOLUTION: The method for producing lubricant base oils is provided comprising the steps of: (a) separating a feedstock into a light lubricant base oil fraction and a heavy fraction; (b) hydroisomerizing the fractions over a medium pore size molecular sieve catalyst under hydroisomerization conditions to produce an isomerized light lubricant base oil fraction having a pour point equal to or less than a target pour point of the lubricant base oils and an isomerized heavy fraction having a pour point of equal to or greater than the target pour point of the lubricant base oils and a cloud point greater than the target cloud point of the lubricant base oils; and (c) dehazing the isomerized heavy fraction to provide a heavy lubricant base oil having a pour point equal to or less than the target pour point of the lubricant base oils and a cloud point equal to or less than the target cloud point of the lubricant base oils.
