SOLUTION: This furnace wall is formed as integral structure of a stave cooler and bricks through a monolithic refractory layer having high heat- conductivity. Several steps of ribs are projectingly arranged at the brick side of the stave cooler and the ribs are inserted into grooves arranged in the brick, and press-in holes for pressing the monolithic refractory into this stave cooler are arranged. Further, the furnace lining is performed by which several steps of the ribs projectingly arranged in the stave cooler are inserted into the grooves in the brick and after fixing the block formed by pre-fixing with brick fixing bolts to a prescribed position, the brick fixing bolts are taken off, and the monolithic refractory is pressed in the bolt hole opened as the press-in hole, and successively, the stave cooler is fixed to an iron shell by inserting a fitting bolt for the iron shell into the bolt hole.

Therefore, the setting of the rails 16 in the furnace can be executed in the short term, and the breakage of the front part slide unit 19 caused by an impact can effectively be prevented. The removing method of the rails in the blast furnace is executed by the same way as the above.
