    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve protective performance for a colliding object and a vehicle by reducing an input load to a colliding object colliding from an upper side of a hood.SOLUTION: A vehicle body front structure of an automobile includes: a hood 3 capable of opening and closing an opening on an upper side of a vehicle body; and a pair of right and left hood hinges 4, 4 for supporting the hood 3 so as to be rotatable. The hood hinge 4 includes: a hinge arm 40 fastened on a side of the hood 3; and a hinge base 50 fastened on a side of a vehicle body 2 and coupled to the hinge arm 40 to support the hinge arm 40 so as to be rotatable. The hinge arm 40 includes: a hood fastening part 42 fastened to a lower surface 32b of the hood 3; a base coupling part 41 provided on an outer side in a vehicle width direction relative to the hood fastening part 42 and coupled to the hinge base 50; and an inclined part 43 provided between the hood fastening part 42 and the base coupling part 41 and formed at a part facing the lower surface 32b while being inclined obliquely downward so as to be spaced from the lower surface 32b farther as proceeding outward in the vehicle width direction.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vehicular hood structure which increases a deformation stroke of the front end portion of a hood member while suppressing reaction force on a collision body, when the collision body collides on the hood member from the foremost end side thereof. SOLUTION: On an installation plate portion 40A mounted with a striker 34, penetration portions 46, 48 are formed to penetrate the installation plate portion 40A. The penetration portions 46, 48 are formed on the front side of an engine hood 14 to installation holes 42, 44 of the striker 34 and continuously to the installation holes 42, 44. While a load F not less than a predetermined value on a hood rear diagonally lower side is inputted on a front end portion 14B of the engine hood 14 when the engine hood 14 is at a closing position, the installation plate portion 40A is relatively displaced on a hood rear side to the striker 34, and the striker 34 is separated from the installation plate portion 40A.
