    • PURPOSE:To enable to change the fuel flow rate continuously from a very small flow rate to a fairly large flow rate, by constituting a fuel metering unit for metering and controlling fuel, the pressure of which is reduced by a vaporizer, by at least two needle valves associated operatively with a linear step actuator. CONSTITUTION:Vaporized fuel, the pressure of which is controlled by a vaporizer, is introduced into a fuel metering unit 4 for an inlet port 19 formed in an upper section 18 of the fuel metering unit 4. When the fuel flow rate is low, fuel is metered by a first needle valve 20 and a first needle seat 21. In this case, fuel is passed through a first fuel passage 22 formed in the needle valve 20 and ejected into a throttle chamber 5 from a fuel outlet port 30 formed in a middle section 29 of the metering unit 4. As the fuel flow rate is increased and becomes higher than a prescribed value, a top rod 24 of a step motor 10 pushes the needle valve 20 downward and closes the needle seat portion 21. Further, the rod 20 depresses the entire body of a second needle valve 25. In this state, fuel flow is metered and controlled between the second needle valve 25 and a second needle seat 26, and fuel is carried to a fuel outlet port 30 through a second fuel passage 27.

CONSTITUTION:A special engine is operated by a normal gas, a concentrated gas and an air which are supplied from a triple vessel valve. Vent holes 21 are bored on the periphery wall of a vessel having a bottom part. A large size vessel 10, a medium size vessel 20 and a small size vessel 24 having opening on each upper surface are inserted into the periphery wall on which vent holes are bored, and fitted in freely slidable manner. A passage is made open/close by up- and-down operation of the small size vessel 24, plural gases are fed into a cylinder 2 and mixed therein. Thereby, the fuel gas adapted to a special engine can be supplied.

    • PURPOSE:To enable to vaporize liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) effectively, by disposing a primary pressure reducing regulator and a secondary pressure reducing regulator between an LPG cylinder and a mixer successively from the upstream side and in series to each other, and fixing an electric heater to the bottom of a pressure reducing chamber of the primary pressure reducing regulator. CONSTITUTION:A water heater 5, a primary pressure reducing regulator 6 and a secondary pressure governor 7 are disposed successively from the upstream side of an LPG passage 4 at the portion thereof located between an LPG cylinder 1 and a mixer 2 for mixing air and LPG. Further, an electric heater 36 is fixed to the bottom wall of a case 20 for the regulator 6, and its heating element 37 is projected upward from the bottom surface of a primary pressure reducing chamber 24. The heating element 37 is connected to a power source 84 via a controller 83. Here, arrangement is such that current is supplied to the heating element 37 when the engine temperature is low, for instance, in response to the output signal of a sensor 85 for detecting the temperature in the engine room.

CONSTITUTION:The coil 31 of a vacuum switching valve 30 is connected to the computer 32 while a sensing port 34, opened immediately below the throttle valve 11 of a carburettor 3, and a vacuum port 36 are connected. Upon deceleration, the computer 32 operates and detects it to excite the vacuum switching valve 30 by conducting the coil 31, the vacuum port 36 is opened and an air port 39 is closed. The vacuum of the sensing port passes through paths 35, 40, enters into a vacuum chamber 20, opens a bleed port 24 and affects the atmosphere from the air port 22 to a slow lock diaphragm chamber 15 through the path 23. As a result, the diaphragm is inflated, a slow-lock valve 17 shuts off a primary chamber 7, a low-speed fuel path 8 as well as a fuel path 18 are shut off and, thus, the fuel cut is effected.

Upon the deceleration, the computer 32 operates and detects it and a vacuum switch 45 detects that the vacuum of the sensing part is lower than 100mm.Hg, thereby conducting the coil 31 of a vacuum switching valve 30, opening the vacuum port 36 and closing an air port 39. According to these operations, the vacuum acts on a vacuum chamber 20, opens a bleed port 24, atmopshere is communicated through an air bleed path 23, the diaphragm 16 of a LPG regulator 6 is inflated, the valve 17 shuts a primary chamber 7 and a low-speed fuel path 8 as well as a fuel path 18 are shut off.

Meanwhile, an electromagnetic on-off valve 16 located in an LPG inlet side passage 14 is brought to a closed state with a first switch 35 closed and a second switch 37 opened by a sensor 28 when the drain valve 27 is fully or partially opened, then a pilot lamp 36 lights ON, and simultaneously a starter motor 39 is brought to an inoperative state.
