    • PURPOSE:To improve the starting stop load variation characteristic and the partial load characteristic of a power plant by driving an air compressor by a gas turbine using a fuel gas refined from coal and also providing an air storage cavity storing high pressure air. CONSTITUTION:Coal is gasified in a gasification furnace 10, and the gas is desulfurized by a purifying device 16. The purified gas is used as a fuel of a gas turbine 19. An air compressor 35 is driven by the gas turbine 19, and high- pressure air is stored in an air storage cavity 32. When a request for power generation was produced, power generation is performed by the produced fuel gas and stored air. A steam turbine 23 is driven by the steam generated by a fuel gas steam generator 11 and a waste heat recovering boiler 21. In this manner, it is possible to independently handle the load variation of the power plant and the operation of the coal gasification plant, and hence the starting stop load variation characteristic and the partial load characteristic can be improved.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent the drop of turbine efficiency by a method wherein a part of the recompressed air of a recompressor of captioned burner, in which liquified natural gas of the like is used as fuel and as well as the reduction of NOX is contrived, is branched off at the downstream of the recompressor to be supplied through a controlling value to pipings, one of which is for diluting and the other for secondary combustion.
      CONSTITUTION: A part of the air 100 compressed by means of a compressor 1 is led to the recompressor 2 in order to be recompressed as the recompressed air 103, which is led to a premixing chamber 3 and mixed with the fuel for precombustion 106 to be sent to and burned in the precombustion chamber 11. On the other hand, the remaining part 101 of the compressed air 100 joints the recompressed air 116, which is branched of from the recompressed air 103 discharged from the recompressor 2, on the way to flow in a main combustion chamber 12 as the air for dilution 104 and the combustion air 105 in the main combustion chamber 12. At this time, the flow rates of fuel for precombustion and of air flowing in the premixing chamber 3 are detected by flow detectors 121 and 122 in order to control the opening and closing of the controlling valve 117 through a controlling device 125. Consequently, the drop of the turbine efficiency can be prevented.
