    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new aromatic methylidene compound usable for a charge transfer material of an electrophotographic photosensitive material, a charge transfer material or a luminescent material of an organic electroluminescent device, or organic semiconductor devices of various kinds, to provide intermediates for producing the same, and to provide a method for producing these compounds.

      31 jointly form a condensed ring of unsubstituted or substituted aromatic rings or a condensed ring of unsubstituted or substituted aromatic hetercocyclic rings; and n
