摘要： PURPOSE:To increase an access speed and to prevent a mechanical fault by permitting the access to the corresponding track of plural storage tracks selectively for plural heads. CONSTITUTION:Under the state that a storage medium 1 is rotated by a spindle mechanism 2, data existing in one point of the track are accessed from an integrated head 3 by this rotation. The selection of the track access is performed by a changeover circuit 30 of the head 3. The data on the track 11 can be accessed by the head 31 being accessed at present. The head 32 and other heads are in the stand-by state to access the track corresponding to the head anytime, but the data only from the head 31 are brought into a signal line 4 because a circuit is being made OFF by the changeover circuit 30. When the data of a track 12 are accessed, the changeover circuit 30 is changed over.

Also, the rotations of the disks 1 and the spindle shafts 17 are driven by disk driving means 32 fixed on a base 14. Thus, by moving a pair of upper and lower sliders 3 in right/left directions between the superposed disks 1, an effective seeking operation is executed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To heighten the angular rigidity of a head supporting body and to make the device thin structure and then to improve the precision of access operation by fitting a roller to a side surface of the head supporting body. CONSTITUTION:The oscillating head device 25 is oscillated around a shaft 30 as a center by rolling outer rings 45-1a to 45-4a along rails 47 and 48. Now, the rails 47 and 48 are specified dimension to ba capable of pushing up rolling bearings 45-1 to 45-4. By this method, the bearings 45-1 to 45-4 are pressed by the rails 47 and 48, and their pre-load is applied to a ball bearing 43. When the device 25 is oscillated at high speed, the head supporting body 40 and a disk part 41 are supported by the shaft 30 and the rails 47 and 48 with a spring. Since the dimensions from the shaft 30 to the rails 47 and 48 are large, the supporting body 40 possesses high angular rigidity. Then, the bearing 43 is given the pre-load, and hence radial rigidity of the supporting body 40 is also large. Consequently, the supporting body 40 is stably oscillated, and an optical head 32 can be positioned with good precision.
