      SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing the briquette comprises a conveying machine 3 for conveying a compact W formed in a compression-molding machine to a drying machine side. The conveying machine 3 has a plurality of trays 27 for receiving the compacts W. The compact W is received by the tray 27 on the press forming machine side, and is conveyed toward the drying machine side. After the compact W has been transferred to the drying machine side, the empty tray 27 is moved to the lower end portion of a conveyer 34, and then takes a posture opened downward. By this method, powder shape foreign substances dropped from the compact W and remaining inside the tray 27 can be automatically dropped, and the remains of the foreign substances inside the tray 27 can be prevented.
