CONSTITUTION:When band plate 1 on a take-up reel 7a becomes a specified quantity, the body 5 of a carousel reel is turned, and a take-up reel 7b is brought to a specified position. At the same time, a cutter 8 is brought near by a cylinder, and rotated in equiphase with the take-up reel 7b by a clutch mechanism. In this case, the band plate 1 is made to the state of slight contact with the take-up reel 7b by shifting of a line adjusting roll 14. A built-in cutting edge 12 of the cutter roll 8 is protruded to the built-in cutting edge 11 of the take-up reel 7b by an electromagnet 13. The band plate 1 is cut, and succeeding band plate 1 is wound on the take-up reel 7b. As there is no separate driving source for cutting, and line speed is not lowered, productivity is improved and cost is reduced.

And the strip 1 is cut by cutting edges 8, 9 and after cutting, the pistons 21, 22 are separated immediately and the gears 14, 15 are moved to the reverse direction around the gears 16, 17 and the drum shears 10, 11 connected to the gears 14, 15 directly are separated. Thus, high velocity cutting of the strip can be made with the low capacity motor and productivity can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To secure such an inline cutting device that makes high-speed cutting performable, by embedding a cutter in a drum opposed to a roller by spring force usually, while constituting it so as to be projected to a surface of the drum with a compressed fluid in time of cutting. CONSTITUTION:Usually, a cutter 11 is drawn back to the inside of a drum 12 by dint of a spring 15. And, in accordance with the timing of cutting a strip 3, compressed air in an air cassette 14 is discharged out, projecting the cutter 11 to a surface of the drum 12 against the spring 15. With this operation, the strip 3 is cut off. After cutting the strip, discharge of the compressed air 14 stops and simultaneously the cutter 11 is retracted to the inside of the drum 12 by dint of the spring 15. With this constitution, this cutting device is available in a high-speed strip manufacturing line as an inline system.

When a strip S is cut, the cutting edge X is raised by the working jig Y, and the top edge of the cutter is protruded outside the drum K. The strip S is nipped between an auxiliary roller 2 set oppositely to the drum K and the cutting edge X. Therefore, the strip S can be cut in a high-speed line.

    • PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy of a product, and to improve the production efficiency by forming preliminarily a forging billet being in a cavity by an upsetting compression, raising a back pressure of one punch, also lowering a back pressure of the other punch, and punching and forming said billet.
      CONSTITUTION: An upper die and a lower die 1a, 1b are diesunk on a mating face in accordance with a cavity 2 which is coincided with an external form of a gear. A forging billet 5a is placed between the upper die 1a and the lower die 1b, the upper die 1a is moved by pressure toward the lower die 1b, and an upsetting compression forming is executed. In this case, a low pressure is operated suitably on a punch 3a, and a part of the billet 5a is formed preliminarily so as to generate a recess in a punch hole 4a. Subsequently, the punch 3a is made to descend by raising a back pressure of the punch 3a and also lowering a back pressure of the punch 3b, punching and forming are executed, and a product gear 5d is obtained. According to this method, a product having a good accuracy can be mass-produced.
