    • PURPOSE:To inspect positional shift regardless of the warpage of a board by calculating a floating threshold value from the peak of the frequency distribution of the heights of the mounting parts on the board and respectively comparing an area at a point higher than the floating thresholed value and the difference between two peaks of the frequency distribution with a reference threshold value. CONSTITUTION:The height of the part 22 mounted on a printed circuit board 21 and the surface height of the printed circuit board 21 are measured by a three-dimensional coordinates measuring part 23. A mask data memory 31 is referred to with respect to the obtained height data and the frequency distribution of the data is prepared at every mask by a frequency distribution calculation circuit 26 while the peak of the frequency distribution is calculated by a peak calculation circuit 27 and the average value of two heights where the frequency distribution becomes a peak is set to a floating threshold value by a floating threshold value calculation circuit 28. An area at a point higher than the floating threshold value is calculated by an area count circuit 29 and the difference between two heights where the frequency distribution becomes a peak is calculated by a subtractor circuit 30. These values are compared with a reference threshold value to judge quality.

    • PURPOSE:To enable decoding whatever direction a bar code label is stuck on an input document in by erasing the background image of the bar code except its center area, finding the center and inclination of the bar code, and reading data out of a storage means in the slanting direction of the bar code. CONSTITUTION:An input image signal is stored in a storage means 2 and converted into binary data, which is further converted into contour data; and the contour data is expanded to paint the bar code area out. The output data of expansion processing is contracted at a maximum to such size that the painted-out bar code area does not disappear, thereby erasing the background image. Here, an inclination center arithmetic circuit 7 calculates the inclination and center point of the remaining bar code area data and reads the data out of the storage means 2 in the slanting angle direction; and data interpolation and binary coding are carried out and then a bar code decoding circuit 11 decodes the bar code with the binary data after the interpolation. Consequently, the decoding is enabled wherever the bar code label is stuck on the input document.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a picture signal train equivalent to the orthogonal scanning of a bar code and to decode the bar code by collating the run length of a read picture signal with a stored run length and fetching the picture signal along the center line of the bar code and having a prescribed pitch. CONSTITUTION:The output of a binary picture signal generating means 1 is stored in a memory 2. The pattern of the train of the run length is coded and stored in a run length code storing means 3. A run length counting means 4 counts the number of continuous white picture elements and creates white run length data, and a fine/heavy width code generating means 5 counts the start position and the end position of the picture elements of the run and informs a pattern area deciding means 6 of the counted result. The decoding means 6 reads the run length code from the storing means 3, compares the counted result with the read run length code, and generates a propriety signal. A pattern area picture signal generating means 7 replaces the signals between the start position and the end position with black picture signals only when the propriety signal informs the means 7 that the compared result is proper. A center line detecting means 8 obtains the least square approximation straight line from a pattern area picture signal and makes the obtained line into the center line, and finally, the picture signal having the prescribed amount of width is fetched from the storing means 2 along the center line and made into the aimed picture signal in an inclined picture signal generating means 9.

    • PURPOSE:To form a dot wherein a number of lines of each dot becomes the same at standard dot row angle, by dividing an input image signal region into black and white square regions to binarize both regions and selectively using two binarized regions according to the density of an input image signal. CONSTITUTION:An x-axis has the main scanning clock of an image signal as a unit and a y-axis has a sub-scanning clock as a unit to form an orthogonal coordinates system (x, y) and, when the objective pixel p(x, y) in the (x, y) system is binarized, the pixel p(x, y) is regarded to be covered with a square B group when the density thereof is below 50% and regarded to be covered with a square W group when said density is 50% or more to be respectively set to the element of the dot of the square B or W. The generation of the dot in the square B or W can be realized by an integrated dither method using the differential quantity from the apices of the squares. By forming the dot by the above mentioned action, a dot wherein a dot row angle is a desired one and a number of the lines constituting the dot is within an error range of one scanning line can be formed and, when the original has single density, a dot shape is uniform and becomes one reduced in density irregularity or roughness.
