摘要： PURPOSE:To eliminate the wring transmission carried out through a predictive coding device by supplying the signal decoded from a difference signal containing no error directly to a predictor and the signal containing an error also to the predictor after correcting said error. CONSTITUTION:An error correcting circuit 5 corrects errors occurring on a channel and sends an error detecting signal to a switch 8 if those errors are uncorrectable. Then these error detecting signals are used as the control signals for correction of errors. A decoding device B' obtains the sum signal of the error corrected difference signal and the 2nd predicting signal obtained by the 2nd predictor 2 through an adder 6. Then the switch 8 is turned to the C side to output to a monitor 9. If the error detecting circuit 5 detects an error, the switch 8 is turned to the D side to correct the error after substituting the signal with the signal preceding by a single horizontal scan by a delay circuit 7, outputed to the monitor 9. Thus the influence of the wrong transmission is reduced and the error correcting signals can be limited only to a signal containing an error.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the worst value and then a code error rate by using a tentative equalizer having a phase equalizer equalizing preparatorily a digital signal having an inter-code interference so as to identify and reproduce the signal after the phase distortion is eliminated or reduced. CONSTITUTION:The output of the tentative equalizer 2 is equalized into a prescribed waveform and then the result is fed to a delay circuit 5. In order to always establish the condition given by equalzation, the residual equalization error has only to be symmetrical and the cause of an isolated pulse response to horizontal asymmetry resides in it that a phase distortion exists in all transmission system including the tentative equalizer. Thus, a phase equalizer has only to be provided in the inside of the tentative equalizer and the phase distortion has only to be compensated, and the increase/decrease in noise does not take place due to phase equalization. A delay time T is given to each delay circuit 10 and the output is summed by an adder 12 after a prescribed gain is given by each gain adjuster 11 to realize an optional phase characteristic.

摘要： PURPOSE:To highly efficiently perform data compression with the little deterioration of pictures suitable for recording in a digital magnetic recording device. CONSTITUTION:Picture data are inputted from a terminal 1, oblique high-pass components are suppressed by a spatial filter 10 and data amount is reduced by half in a sampling circuit 20. Then, after orthogonal transformation, quantization and variable length encoding are performed, the compressed data amount for respective fields is suppressed within a fixed value, a header is added to the minimum decoding unit and recording is performed to a VTR. Then, after the series of expanding processing is performed to the compressed data from the VTR, the data are outputted front an output terminal 2. Thus, since a bit number per picture element can be doubled, the deterioration of the pictures can be suppressed and highly efficient picture compression can be performed. Further, by adding the header to the minimum decoding unit, even high-speed reproducing such as searching is made possible.
