    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the plastic deformation of gimbals caused by an external impact force by providing a restricting member for restricting the movement of a slider with a gap kept from the slider in at least the storage medium side of the slider in the retreating position of a head slider supporting device. SOLUTION: A head slider supporting device 2 is composed of a load arm part 3 for applying a load to a slider, two short flexible parts 16 and a gimbals part 4 for supporting the slider to have the freedom of rotation. In the recording medium side 9 of the slider 1 of the head slider supporting device 2 unloaded and retreated to the retreating position, a restricting member 5 is provided for restricting the movement of the slider with a gap kept from the slider. When an impact force is applied to a rotary disk recording device and high impact acceleration is generated in the head slider supporting device 2, since the deformation of the slider 2 is limited in an elastic range by the restricting member 5, the plastic deformation of the gimbals part 4 is prevented.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disperse friction heat generated between the magnetic slider and a magnetic recording medium into a protective film and to prevent a resistance change owing to a temp. of an MR element and hence to enhance the reliability by forming a protective film having anisotropy of such thermal conductivities as a high thermal conductivity in an in-plane direction of the protective film and a low thermal conductivity in an out-of-plane direction of the film on a floating surface of the magnetic head slider. SOLUTION: A composite type magnetic head is constituted by forming an inductive heed 4 for recording a signal, the MR element 5 for reproducing the signal and a shield film 6 for electrically and magnetically separating these parts. The floating surface of a slider of this magnetic head is formed with the protective film 7 having anisotropy of such thermal conductivities as high in the in-plane direction of the protective film and low in the out-of-plane direction of the protective film. Consequently, the friction heat to be generated attending upon contact between the magnetic head slider and the magnetic recording medium is dispersed into the plane of protective film 7 of the high thermal conductivity, and is difficult to be transmitted to the side of the MR element 5. Consequently, a resistance change due to a temp. of the MR element is prevented, and low floating, high recording density and reliability can be contrived.

The arrangement further includes a trolley cable 5 which constitutes a power supplying path of the trolley device in the elevator pit and a shield 6 arranged as surrounding an electricity collector 6 on the car side which is in slide contact with the trolley cable. and a sound absorbing material 10 is affixed to the inner surface of the shield 8.

    • PURPOSE:To accelerate the transmission of heat which is transmitted by a stator, the air flowing on the backside of the stator or the convection from the air to a housing by a method wherein three-dimensional protrusions whose cross-sections are changed in the direction of the air flow are provided. CONSTITUTION:An induction motor absorbs the air by a fan attached to a rotor through windows opened in a casing 5. The air is made to flow through a ventilation guide to the backside of a stator 3. Ribs 8 which are distributed in a circumferential direction between the stator 3 and the casing 3 are provided intermittently. By providing the ribs 8 intermittently, the main flows of the air are well mixed and the increase of a pressure loss is smaller than a pressure loss when a conventional continuous rib is used, so that the heat transmission is accelerated with a same fan power. If the ribs are formed by a pressing process, etc., from the outside of the casing 5, the heat radiation area of the outside of the casing 5 is also increased by the pressing process, etc., and a heat radiation performance is increased. As a result, the cooling effect of the induction motor is improved and the coil temperature of the motor is lowered, so that a small and highly reliable induction motor can be obtained.
