    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-life polymer actuator device system with a sealing member which brings about a sufficient sealing effect and never interferes with deformation of the polymer actuator.SOLUTION: A polymer actuator device system S11 comprises: a polymer actuator 13 which has an electrolytic layer 11, and first and second electrode layers 12A and 12B opposed to each other in a thickness direction of the electrolytic layer 11 disposed therebetween, and is deformed according to a voltage between the first and second electrode layers 12A and 12B; and a sealing member 15 which covers the polymer actuator 13 as if it enwraps the whole of the polymer actuator 13. The sealing member 15 has two layers, i.e. a resin layer 15j and an inorganic layer 15s, and a thickness of 1-5 micrometers. The polymer actuator further comprises an anti-wear part 17 on an outer side of the sealing member 15 in a thickness direction thereof.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a sufficient clear contrast at the luminous color element part by arranging a black resistor which consists of a compound such as tantalum nitride and tantalum oxide as an opposite electrode or between the opposite electrode and an insulating layer contacting to the opposite electrode. CONSTITUTION:In a membranous EL (Electroluminescence) display element composed by laminating a transparent electrode 2, an EL luminous layer 4, insulating layers 3 and 5 holding the luminous layer 4, and an opposite electrode 6 on a transparent substrate 1, a black resistor 8 which consists of one or more compounds of tantalum nitride, tantalum oxide, tantalum nitro-oxide, tantalum hydro-nitride, tantalum hydroxide, and tantalum hydro-nitro-oxide is furnished as the opposite electrode 6 or between the opposite electrode 6 and the insulating layer 5 contacting to the opposite electrode 6. As a result, a sufficiently clear contrast at the luminous color element part can be obtained without increasing the applied voltage.
