    • PURPOSE: To save a space for a ground for a work needed on a ground by a method wherein after a pilot pipe is reamed by an advancing device arranged at a starting part on a ground as a track is controlled, the pilot pipe is linearly advanced, and an advancing pipe and a burying pipe are advanced in a spreading manner as the pipes are guided by the pilot pipe. CONSTITUTION: When a burying pipe 3, such as a collecting pipe, to improve the foundation ground 20 of an existing structure 19 is laid in a non-excavated manner in a ground, a starting part is set on one side of the existing structure 19. An advancing device 22 is coupled to a reaction force pile and a base bed 24 is installed in such a manner to be inclined at a given angle with a ground surface. An advance carriage 25 is reciprocated along the base bed 24 by a hydraulic means to first advance in a curved manner a pilot pipe 1 and an advancing pipe 2 and secondly linearly advance the pipes, and the burying pipe 3 is drawn by the advancing pipe 2. The advancing pipe 2 has a front end part to which a water jet type reaming mechanism 4 is fixed, and reaming advancing is effected by injecting sludge through a number of nozzles arranged at a front panel.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering contaminants at its the primary location for recovering effectively the contaminants in soil which can be easily applied to the contaminated soil lying under an existing structure. SOLUTION: Pipes 4 and 5 to be laid by the bending excavation from the ground are set almost horizontally in soil 1 contaminated with harmful contaminants, and the contaminants in the soil are separated in the original site by using the pipes 4 and 5 and the like and recovered onto the ground. As a means for separating the contaminants, a plurality of power-applicable pipes 4 and 5 to be laid by the bending excavation from the ground are set in parallel almost horizontally at intervals L in the ground 1 contaminated with harmful contaminants, and one of the pipes 4 and 5 is used as a water collecting pipe 4 with a number of water collecting holes, while the other pipe is used as a power applicable pipe 5 in the constitution of a pair of pipes or pairs of pipes. Direct current supplied from a direct current power source device 6 is applied to respective water collecting pipe or pipes 4 and the power applicable pipe or pipes 5 forming a pair or pairs, and contaminants collected together with clearance water from the contaminated soil 1 are collected into the water collecting pipe or pipes 4 by the electrical separation and recovered onto the ground. Also the contaminants can be recovered in the gaseous state.
