摘要： The copy-milling device (1) for the manufacture of especially dentistry workpieces has a arm (4) pivotable around a horizontal axis normal to its longitudinal direction and with a motor powered cutting tool (5) for the forming of a workpiece from the blank, and a sensing device (6) for the scanning of the model piece. The cutting tool and the sensing device are connected to move mechanically and synchronously. A suspension device is provided for the arm and has a weight compensating spring (11) acting between the arm and an abutment (12) installed on the copy-milling device above the arm. Independent claims are included for the following: (A) a method for the operating of a manually guided copy-milling device which entails applying the force required for the positional change of the cutting tool or sensing device at least partially directly on the motor powered cutting tool; (B) a support plate for a copy-milling device which has at least one through-hole arranged in such a way that the dust created during milling of the blank passes through it; and (C) a holding element for a support plate with a housing for a blank and a through-hole.

摘要： A carrier (10) is disclosed for carrying and holding a spindle (24) of a machine during removal and installation of the spindle and while performing maintenance on the spindle. The carrier (10) has a spindle support, a carrying handle (50) and a device for engaging a portion of the machine so as to removably support the carrier on the machine. The carrier has opposite end plates (28) each end plate having a recess (36) configured to receive a portion of the spindle such that the spindle may be supported on the end plates in the recesses. This enables a single person to then remove the shaft (54) supporting the spindle (24) on the machine while the carrier (10) holds the spindle (24) in position.

摘要： An apparatus and method is disclosed for ejecting workpieces from machines, especially lidded containers from lid seamers, that have a forming station including a chuck element (110) and a forming roller and that have a positioning mechanism that advances to move the workpiece into engagement with the forming station. The apparatus and method utilize a resilient element (150) to exert an ejecting force. The resilient element is disposed on the chuck element (12) in a manner so that engagement of the workpiece (170) operates to compress, either by compression or deflection, the resilient element (160) so that it exerts a restorative force that ejects the workpiece. Where a lid seamer is used with a pull opener (e.g., pop top) lid, the contact with the resilient member occurs a location spaced from the opener and its connecting elements. The resilient element is preferably cup-shaped having a central panel and a longitudinally and radially outwardly projecting lip (160). A variety of constructions of the resilient element and manners of mounting to the chuck element and its associated spindle are described.
