    • An adaptive matching RF architecture and an associated matching method are provided. The RF architecture comprises a power amplifier module, a receiving module, an antenna, an RF processing module, a baseband control module and at least one adjustable matching network module, the at least one adjustable matching network module being connected between the power amplifier module and the RF processing module, and/or between the receiving module and the RF processing module, and/or between the antenna and the RF processing module. The baseband control module is pre-stored with multiple matching values corresponding to multiple different application scenarios, the matching values of the at least one adjustable network module being applied based on the application scenarios to attain the optimum RF performance. By the above means, variable matching network technologies are applied to replace the traditional fixed matching network, enabling the network to adaptively adjust values of the matching networks based on different working conditions, and finally achieving the optimum performance at various frequency points under various working conditions.

    • The invention provides wireless communications apparatus comprising: a wireless communications device comprising: an antenna module; circuitry in communication with the antenna module; a circuit interface within the circuitry or between the circuitry and the antenna module; and impedance matching circuitry configurable to adjust an impedance match at the circuit interface; and a controller in data communication with a memory storing a user profile associated with the wireless communications device, or with a user of the wireless communications device, the user profile comprising configuration data relating to one or more impedance matching configurations of the impedance matching circuitry, the configuration data being associated with one or more parameters of the wireless communications device, wherein the controller is configured to use configuration data from the user profile to configure the impedance matching circuitry responsive to a determination of one or more parameters of the device associated with that configuration data.
