摘要： The present invention refers to a toner cartridge for use in an image forming device. The toner cartridge comprises a housing having a top, a bottom, a front, and a rear positioned between a first side and a second side of the housing. The housing defines a reservoir for containing toner therein. The cartridge further comprises an exit port in fluid communication with the reservoir and facing downward on the front of the housing near the first side as well as a first alignment guide positioned on the first side of the housing and a second alignment guide positioned on the second side of the housing at substantially the same height as the first alignment guide. The cartridge also comprises a toner delivery system for transferring toner from the reservoir out of the exit port. The toner delivery system includes a main interface gear for providing rotational power to the toner delivery system with a portion of the main interface gear being exposed on the front of the housing at the second side of the housing above the second alignment guide. Finally the cartridge comprises a connector on the first side of the housing having a forward facing opening positioned above the first alignment guide with electrical contacts being positioned within the connector and being accessible through the forward facing opening of the connector. The electrical contacts are electrically connected to processing circuitry of the toner cartridge.

摘要： It is aimed to provide a developer cartridge provided with a detection gear having a novel structure. A first gear (transmission gear 400) includes a small-diameter gear portion 450 and a large-diameter gear portion 440 having a diameter larger than a diameter of the small-diameter gear portion 450. The second gear (detection gear 300) includes: a first columnar portion centered on a second axis CL2; a second columnar portion having a smaller diameter smaller than the first columnar portion; a first engagement portion (first gear portion 332) extending along a portion of a peripheral surface of the first columnar portion and engageable with the small-diameter gear portion 450; a second engagement portion (second gear portion 352) extending along a portion of a peripheral surface of the second columnar portion and positioned closer to a housing than the first engagement portion to the housing in an axial direction and engageable with the large-diameter gear portion 440; and a protrusion (detection protrusion 301) protruding in the axial direction and rotatable together with the first engagement portion and the second engagement portion. The second engagement portion is engageable with the large-diameter gear portion 440 after the first engagement portion is engaged with the small-diameter gear portion 450.
