摘要： An internal combustion engine comprises an upstream side air-fuel ratio sensor, a downstream side air-fuel ratio sensor, an air-fuel ratio control means, a learning means and an abnormality judging means. When the air-fuel ratio control means sets the target air-fuel ratio to a first side, a rich or a lean side, if it is judged that the air-fuel ratio of the outflowing exhaust gas is maintained at a second side, opposite to the first side, for a predetermined air-fuel ratio maintenance judgment time or more, the learning means corrects a parameter relating to the feedback control so that the air-fuel ratio of the inflowing exhaust gas changes to the first side. A correction amount of the parameter at the stuck learning is made small when the abnormality judging means judges that the downstream side air-fuel ratio sensor exhibits abnormal response delay.

摘要： A variable valve timing apparatus for an internal combustion engine, includes an actuator (15) that operates a first variable valve timing mechanism; a detecting portion (35) that detects a driving position of the actuator (15); and a control portion (21) that executes an initialization process only when a preset execution condition is satisfied. In the initialization process, the control portion drives the actuator (15) to one end of a driving range and sets the driving position detected in this state as an initial value, and then drives the actuator (15) to an opposite end of the driving range and reflects an offset amount of the driving position detected in that state with respect to an optimum value in the driving position to compensate for the offset amount. The execution condition includes a condition that an increase amount in acceleration required of the internal combustion engine (1) be equal to or greater than a preset first determining value.

摘要： A control device of an internal combustion engine which is provided with an exhaust purification catalyst is provided with a downstream side air-fuel ratio sensor, a feed control means for controlling the fuel feed amount so that the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas becomes a target air-fuel ratio, and an excess/deficiency estimating means which estimates an oxygen excess/deficiency in the exhaust gas. The target air-fuel ratio is switched to a lean air-fuel ratio when the output air-fuel ratio of the downstream side air-fuel ratio sensor becomes a rich air-fuel ratio and is switched to the rich air-fuel ratio when the stored amount of oxygen of the exhaust purification catalyst after this becomes a switching reference amount or more. An absolute value of cumulative oxygen excess/deficiency at a time period during which the target air-fuel ratio is made the lean air-fuel ratio and an absolute value of cumulative oxygen excess/deficiency at a time period during which the target air-fuel ratio is made the rich air-fuel ratio are used as the basis to correct the target air-fuel ratio etc. so that the difference of these absolute values becomes small.

摘要： An integrated control apparatus (60) includes an internal combustion engine (2) configured to be operated at a lean air-fuel ratio, a stepped automatic transmission (40), a powertrain manager (62), and an engine controller (64). The powertrain manager (62) is configured to: output a target torque (TQreq1) and a advance torque command (TQreq2) to the engine controller (64); start decreasing the target torque (TQreq1) after a specified time elapses from a timing of the upshifting instruction; and decrease the advance torque command (TQreq2) before the decrease of the target torque (TQreq1). The engine controller (64) is configured to: start a reduction in the air amount in accordance with a magnitude of decrease of the advance torque command (TQreq2); start reducing the air amount between the start of the decrease of the advance torque command (TQreq2) and the start of the decrease of the target torque (TQreq1); and adjust the air-fuel ratio in accordance with a deviation between the target torque (TQreq1) and a torque that is estimated from the lean air-fuel ratio and the air amount.
