    • The present invention relates to a method for converting a full flow oil and/or fuel filter system into a bypass filter system comprising the use of a retro-fittable bypass filter configured to directly replace the pre-existing full flow filter, without the need for additional hoses or mounts etc. as in existing methods. Also described is a filter device for converting a full flow oil and/or fuel filter system into a bypass filter system comprising: an inlet for allowing fluid into the filter; a plurality of screens for filtering particles from the fluid; a cellulose element for filtering moisture from the fluid; an outlet for allowing fluid out of the filter; and a bypass for fluid to bypass the cellulose element and at least one screen and exit the filter, wherein the bypass filter is configured to directly replace the pre-existing full flow filter.

    • The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a filter head (6) from plastic with a threaded connection insert (1) injected at least partially into the filter head and said threaded connection insert designed as a cold extrusion part, wherein - the threaded connection insert (1) is inserted in a complementary cylindrical holder (7) of a plastic injection mould (4), - the threaded connection insert (1) is pushed into the holder until it is in contact with a holder edge (8) with an axial sealing surface (3), - a mandrel (9) is pushed through the threaded connection insert (1) until said mandrel engages interlockingly in a recess (12) on an opposite wall (10) of the injection mould (4), wherein a distance remains between the threaded connection insert (1) and the wall (10) of the slider (11), - plastic is injected into the plastic injection mould (4), - the mandrel (9) is pulled after the plastic has cured, the slider (11) is displaced and the filter head (6) is removed from the plastic injection mould (4).

    • The invention relates to a filter head (6) made of plastic, comprising a threaded metal nozzle insert (1) which is at least partly injected into the filter head. It is essential to the invention that - the threaded metal nozzle insert (1) is designed as a cold extruded part, - the filter head (6) has radially running plastic ribs (10) which are integrally formed with the filter head, extend from the threaded metal nozzle insert (1) in a radial manner, and lead radially outwards into an axial filter head sealing surface (11) integrally formed with the filter head (6). By means of the comparably raised plastic ribs (10), which are led to the axial sealing surface (11), the plastic ribs have a high rigidity. In this manner, a creepage which impairs the sealing effect can be reduced. Additionally, the threaded metal nozzle insert (1) produced in this manner can be produced inexpensively.
