    • The invention relates to a ground reinforced structure that comprises a fill (1), reinforcement strips (2) including reinforcement sections (82, 83, 84) extending in a reinforced area of the fill behind the front face of the structure, and a cladding (3) provided along said front face, the reinforcement strips (2) being anchored to the cladding (3) in respective anchoring regions, wherein the cladding (3) comprises, in at least one anchoring region, a path (20) defined for a reinforcement strip (2) between two protruding points (6) located on a rear face of the cladding (7) adjacent to the fill (1), the path (20) including at least two rectilinear portions (81) respectively adjacent to the two protruding points (6) and each provided for positioning the strip (2) in the same protruding plane (P) perpendicular to said rear face (7), two curved portions (9) respectively defining an extension of the two rectilinear portions (81) and provided for diverting the strip outside from the protruding plane (P), and a connection portion for connecting the two curved portions (9) together and having at least one loop (10, 101, 102, 103, 104) provided outside the protruding plane, and wherein at least two reinforcement sections (82, 83, 84) each define an extension of a rectilinear portion (81) of a path (20) beyond the protruding point (6) and are connected together by at least one linking member (11, 12, 13), each of said reinforcement sections (82, 83, 84) being part of a reinforcement strip (2) provided along said path (20). The invention also relates to reinforcement members and to associated methods.

    • In the construction of a steep embankment a planar front grid (2) is used, said grid being positioned with a given inclination corresponding to the completed embankment, immediately adjacent the front of the completed embankment. At a point in the earth formation behind the completed embankment an anchor element (5) is placed, and between the front grid (2) and the anchor element (5) one or more fixed anchors braces (4a, 4b) are established to secure the front grid (2) in relation to the anchor element (5). Furthermore, one or more layers of geo-net (7) are preferably placed or inserted below or above the anchor element (5) and behind the front grid (2). Finally, the area behind the front grid (2) is filled up, whereby the anchor element (5) is covered to provide the earth formation in the completed embankment. In this method is used a universally applicable system comprising a planar front grid, an anchor element and a number of anchor braces or struts, said system being immediately adaptable to a given application.
