摘要： In some embodiments, the present invention provides methods including the steps of providing cellulosic material, associating the cellulosic material with an organic acid (e.g., lactic acid) to form a mixture, and heating the mixture to a temperature between 100oC and 120oC for at least ten minutes to form a treated cellulosic material, wherein the water retention value of the treated cellulosic material is decreased by at least 10% as compared to untreated cellulosic material.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide an adhesive agent composition for an organic fiber, the adhesive agent composition hardly causing precipitation or cohesion and having stable adhesive force. The present invention provides an adhesive agent composition for an organic fiber, the adhesive agent composition including epoxy resin and a water soluble curing agent, and also provides to a method of treating an organic fiber, the method including the steps of: (i) treating the organic fiber with the adhesive agent composition as a first treating agent; and (ii) treating the organic fiber, having been treated with the first treating agent, with a second treating agent containing a resorcin-formalin-rubber latex (RFL).

摘要： The inhibitory fiber against virulence factors production of the present invention is an inhibitory fiber against virulence factors production comprising a fiber and an inhibitor of virulence factors production fixed to the fiber by chemical bonding. The inhibitor of virulence factors production includes at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a phosphate group-containing compound, a carboxylic acid group-containing compound, and a ketone group-containing compound. The production method of the present invention is a method for producing an inhibitory fiber against virulence factors production comprising a fiber and an inhibitor of virulence factors production fixed to the fiber by chemical bonding. The method comprises: irradiating the fiber with an electron beam; and bringing into contact with the fiber at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a phosphate group-containing compound, a carboxylic acid group-containing compound, and a ketone group-containing compound to chemically bond the at least one compound to the fiber. Another production method of the present invention is a method for producing an inhibitory fiber against virulence factors production comprising a cellulose fiber and an inhibitor of virulence factors production fixed to the fiber by chemical bonding. The method comprises: bringing an aqueous solution containing phosphoric acid and urea into contact with the cellulose fiber to chemically bond phosphoric ester to the cellulose fiber.

摘要： This invention is directed to methods of incorporating a trigger such as boric acid, boric acid salts, sodium sulfate, or other salts, into a nonwoven web substrate for the preparation of dry nonwoven products which are redispersible when put in contact with large amounts of water or liquid. In one method, the trigger is in a dry powder form and is incorporated into the nonwoven fibers followed by treatment of the fibers with an aqueous redispersible binder, and binding and drying the web. Another method is to saturate a dry bonded nonwoven web with an aqueous solution of the trigger and then dry the saturated web. Yet another method is to apply an aqueous solution of the trigger to the web followed by applying a redispersible aqueous binder to the web and then heating and drying the web.
