    • A hydraulic control system configured for use with a towed vehicle hydraulic brake system controls the pressure of the hydraulic fluid provided to the brake as a function of an operator-selected input. A hydraulic pressure control manifold (12) is coupled between a pump (34) and the towed vehicle brake and controls the pressure of the hydraulic fluid supplied to the brake (45) with a plurality of pressure relief check valves (35, 36, 37) interconnected in a parallel hydraulic circuit between the pump and the brake. A plurality of on-off valves (38, 39) are connected in a series hydraulic circuit with the check valves. The pressure relief levels of the check valves correspond to a plurality of towed vehicle braking forces. An operator of a towing vehicle chooses a desired one of the plurality of braking forces through a selector switch (22). When a desired braking force is chosen, appropriate on-off valves in the hydraulic pressure control manifold are closed or opened, thereby enabling or disabling appropriate check valves and controlling the pressure of the hydraulic fluid supplied to the brake and the corresponding towed vehicle braking force.

    • A device (1) for the towing vehicle-trailer connection, comprising: - a base body (2) associable with a trailer and wherein is defined at least a first female coupling (3) and at least a second female coupling (6); - at least a first and a second male couplings (12, 13) associable with a towing vehicle of the trailer and insertable, respectively, within the first and second female couplings (3, 6); where the second male coupling (13) defines a first channel (31) for the transit of a working fluid and has a first closing element (32) of the first transit channel (31) movable between an opening configuration and a closing configuration, - valve means (17) able to put in communication and isolate between them the additional line (7) with the by-pass line (9), respectively; and where the valve means (17) comprise a first tubular element (26) movable between a release configuration and a fastening configuration, a second tubular element (28) defining a second channel (29) for the transit of the working fluid, there being provided a second closing element (30) of the second channel itself, the second tubular element (28) being movable with respect to the second closing element itself between a closing configuration and an opening configuration of said second transit channel (29); and where as a result of the insertion of the second male coupling (13) within the second female coupling (6), the second closing element (30) is able to contact the first closing element (32) to displace it from the closing configuration to the opening configuration, and the end of the second male coupling itself is able to contact the first tubular element (26) to displace it to the fastening configuration, the first tubular element (26) being able to drag in its displacement the second tubular element (28) to displace it to the relative opening configuration in order to place in communication the first and second transit channels (31, 29) together.

    • An actuating device (1) of a valve (40) for the braking of a trailer comprises: at least a driving chamber (12) having at least a braking gap (13) connectable to the braking system of a towing vehicle and inside which is slidably accommodated at least one driving element (14) movable between a rest configuration and a driving configuration wherein it interacts with the distributor (9) to displace it from the rest position to the braking one; at least an actuating seat (15) inside which is accommodated sealingly sliding at least one piston (16, 17) delimiting at least a first chamber (15a), communicating with at least an additional gap (20) connectable to the secondary port (23) and acting on a first face (16a) of the piston itself, and at least a second chamber (15b), communicating with at least a driving gap (18) connectable to a control device of the parking and/or emergency brake of the towing vehicle and acting on a second face (17a) of the piston (16, 17) opposite the first face (16a); at least a connecting rod (19) placed between the piston (16, 17) and the driving element (14), the piston (16, 17) being able to push the driving element (14) from its rest configuration to the driving configuration by means of the rod (19) when the force acting on the first face (16a) is greater than that acting on the second face (17a).
