    • An open roof construction for vehicle with a roof opening (1) in a fixed roof part (2) comprises a first moveable panel (3) and a second panel (4) for at least closing a portion of the roof opening. The first and second panel and/or a stationary part is provided with sealing means to seal side edges of the first and second panels with respect to the fixed roof part. The first panel has an operating mechanism (7) guided in a guide rail (5) extending along the longitudinal side of the roof opening. The operating mechanism includes a rear support member (10) attached to the first panel. The rear support member is movable to an extent that it partly moves alongside the second panel (4) when the first panel (3) moves above the second panel. The sealing means of the second panel and/or of the fixed roof part are such that the rear support member is enabled to pass between the second panel and the fixed roof part. The sealing means (16) for the second panel is attached to a holding member (15) such that at the front of the second panel (4) it extends, in lateral sense, more inwardly than the sealing means (13) of the first panel (3) at the rear thereof when in the closed position, the rear support member (10) passing between the sealing means (16) on the holding member (15) and the second panel (4).

A restriction wall (14) restricts the guide member (30) from moving such that a movable distance (L2) of the guide member (30) in a counter-insertion direction of the fitting protrusion (31) is a distance that is shorter than an insertion amount (L1) of the fitting protrusion (31) relative to the fitting recess (22a).

Gemäß der Erfindung wiest die Steuereinrichtung ein Riegelelement (50) auf, das schwenkbar an einem zweiten der beiden Schlitten (34) gelagert ist, das in bestimmten Bewegungsphasen des Dachteils (24) mit einem ersten Eingriffelement (56) mit einem Eingriffelement (184) an der Führung (16) in oder außer Eingriff bringbar ist, und das in anderen Bewegungsphasen des Dachteils (24) mit einem zweiten Eingriffelement (54) mit zwei unterschiedlichen Eingriffelementen (322, 323) am ersten der beiden Schlitten (32) in Eingriff bringbar ist. A curved member (30) is provided which can be driven by the driving element (5), a first curved portion (39) of which mates with a spring member (35) providing said spring load, and a second curved portion (40) of which mates with a cam (41) disposed on the wind deflector (33), which determines the pivoting angle that is caused by the spring load.
